Staff nice/kind, room neatly cleaned, enough hot water, hair dryer and great location. However facility awfully outdated and the bathroom definitely needed remodeling. Learned the lesson to check reviews before booking even during holiday season as it tarnishes good memory of the whole trip.

This is an old 2 star hotel that needs maintenance. I got the 4 person room and requires an upgrade, specially the bathroom. Hotel is near train station, restaurants and within ~18 min walking distance to colosseum. Staff was helpful and supportive.

Although the rooms are very basic they look old and in need of some decoration but they provided us a good base near the main transport hub for the city and close to very good local restaurants. Staff were helpful and always on hand.

Staff was nice, the hotel was dirty. Bugs in the orange juice machine. City tax was $3.00 a day, i had to pay $40.00 for days and cash only.

6/10 Good

The managers were very friendly and attentive to our needs . However , the toilet was broken and the little curtain in the shower didn’t prevent the water from coming out of the shower space and as a result we had huge puddles of water all over the bathroom preventing us from being able to use the bathroom . Room service did dry it once we asked and then the manager gave us free towels to place on the floor that otherwise would have cost 2 Euros every time you need it a new towel- the air conditioning was great

Uninhabitable Bathroom – Avoid (Health Hazard)

The location is excellent, and the staff tried to help, but my room’s toilet didn’t flush for 3 days, and the shower flooded due to a blockage. I had to use a communal basement WC—unacceptable for any hotel. No maintenance was provided despite complaints. Age/rundown decor is one thing, but hygiene and basic facilities are non-negotiable

The hotel was convenient and the air conditioner was good, but the shower area was disturbing. The shower head was very dirty. I did not feel very clean after showering there.

The staff was kind and welcoming however the room was the weirdest i’ve ever been in. Toilet seat was broken resulting in us falling on the bathroom floor when trying to use it when we first arrived. We alerted the staff of this asap and nothing was done about it the entire stay. The room had three beds stacked beside eachother with no side tables. The so called shower aka foot tub had no curtain so water went everywhere. plug ins were ran through and did not hold any charger and our friend was charged €25 to come up to our room.

2/10 Poor

The city tax was 5 euro not 3 per person per day , the place is so old and run down, not nice even close to what the pictures look like. Shower was horrible, either too much water pressure or hot water changed to cold so quickly. The bathroom was not nice to shower in . Shower curtain was gross to touch. Beds were comfortable, but over all the inside of the hotel was not appealing at all. Great location to everything.

Both the maintenance and cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. We stayed for 1 week and only from the 3rd day the room was cleaned and towels/bedding changed. The furniture was very dusty and so was the floor. The bed lights didn't work and the flush pressure was very bad, as was the water in the shower. Breakfast had no option of fruits or any protein, just processed cheese, toast, white bread, croissant and cornflakes. Too bad! Positive points: excellent location with several restaurant options, market and pharmacy; close to the public transport and bus terminal. We were treated very well by the hotel staff; they were always friendly and cordial.

It was cheap but not at all cheerful. Rooms are tiny and dated with uncomfortable beds and everything feels slightly unclean. Bathroom is small with an almost microscopic shower. The hotel itself felt noisy with trolleys being moved loudly outside very early in the morning and footsteps on the wooden floors in the hallway. Breakfast is included but it was literally a paper tray (no plate!) with: 2 small slices of bread (there is a toaster), a croissant, a couple of biscuits, a slice of 'burger cheese', and butter and jams. If you wanted more you could ask for it but I didn't. The location is the only really good point as it is very close to the station and easily walkable to many of the monuments.

Do not come here.

I mean, two stars is generous for this place. It is not deserving of any stars to be completely honest. It is very central, and the service is alright and to the point, nothing to praise. The building itself is under renovations, so there is scaffolding on the inside of the building, the elevator is literally a broom closet one barely fit inside, luckily I think the hotel is only on the 2nd floor. The room was a sad excuse for a hotel room, it had water damage and humidity damage on the floor and the walls, the shower head didn't have a proper holder and the water pressure was really bad. The toilet seat was tilted and uncomfortable to sit on. The room itself was sad, and I am just glad we only spent time sleeping here. the bed was ok in comfort, the pillows were barely pillows (very flat) There was a mini fridge, but couldn't be used because the plug didn't fit the wall socket. I mean, overall it was a really negative experience in this place. I wished I had spent more time reading the reviews, because they really do describe the experience pretty well.
Our wonderful view
floating shower head and zero water pressure
floor damage - the entry door was difficult to push in due to water damage on the floor
