Second time at this hotel in 3 mos and they remembered preferences we had at the restaurant, greeted us by name, etc.... The only complaint was the lack of punctuality twice now with the shuttle. I gave a time to pick us up and both times we waited over 30 min with luggage in the hot sun at the Cap Haitian airport. This is not a huge problem for me, but if I did not speak Creole I would possibly feel uncomfortable. Also, it is sad to see shuttle drivers from other hotels with their little signs getting other people while you stand in the street and wait and wait and wait. Not a great first impression.

It's always a joy to stay at Habitation des Lauriers. The only downfall is the road that leads up to the hotel.

I have been to many hotels in Haiti and this one was very good compared to most. First, the positives: The view is amazing! Staff was accommodating (especially the manager and front desk). Room had 24 hour power and intermittent air conditioning (it ran when on generator but not when on inverter). All facilities were clean. Reasonable rates for shuttle to town & back. Now, the negatives: Hotel is a bit dated though they are working to replace old wood and such. Grounds are small (nowhere to really walk around). Pool was under maintenance so no water in the pool (one of the reasons we chose it was for the pool, but not their fault). Food service was SLOW, but we did not get sick at all and everything was TASTY (they eve accommodated special dietary needs). Shuttle service to/from airport was a bit pricey- we paid the same at another hotel for our rooms and it was further from the airport, yet shuttle was included with that one. Overall, we would stay here again in a second and actually plan to do so next time in Cap Haitian. THANK YOU-

The staff were incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Our room was flawlessly clean, boasting stunning views of the city and high-end amenities that made us feel truly pampered. Basically the road to this Hotel is terrible, you need to have a good car to get there. The pool has no water, they have promised me that they would put water in the pool but they never did. The guy working at the front desk lied to me about the taxi price to go to Citadel. He told me $150 dollars, later I found out it was $ 100 dollars. They charged multiple times for a transaction, they never returned the money. The ladies working at the bar are very kind. The people who are cleaning are very good people. The only good thing about this hotel is a quiet place but with no fun. Please don’t go there if you’re on vacation and want to enjoy!!!

The property is located in the middle of a ghetto where going up a hill is very dangerous. I stayed for 30 minutes and left, i did not mind losing the money
