Great location near Barberini Square subway station. Small operated facility (not really a traditional hotel). Has small elevator Small room. Only issue was washroom was not accessible from in the room. Had to go out into hallway to private bathroom just for us. Each room had their own bathroom in the hallway. Did not know this when booking room. Manager/staff were great and helpful.

Mario is the owner and he is fantastic!! We traveled 13 hours and were exhausted and he got our room ready for us earlier than check-in which was so gracious. The hotel feels more like an apartment building on a quiet side street close to everything. You get the door code and come and go as you please. Amazing glass elevator in the building! Neighborhood is very safe area, close to metro, shops, restaurants, etc. Mario was happy to help us navigate the metro and tips on navigating the city. There isn’t breakfast included but I’m not a breakfast person and 2 doors down is a cute little place that serves breakfast and coffee at reasonable price and very kind staff. I would stay here again on future travels.

The amenities are classic Europe, small and quaint but everything you need. What made the stay so excellent was the host Mario, he is so quick to offer help and humour! First solo travel was made much easier with his advice and hospitality when my flight got canceled twice!

The hotel was so convenient to get to any major tourist spot in Rome. It was right next to the Metro station, only two stops from the termini or the central train station where you can get to the airport by two 30 (14 euro) or 60 mins (8 euro) trains. It was right across Hilton, so you know how good the location can be.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a power outage on our floor that was corrected a few hours later. Good response to something that we would expect not to have occurred. Apparently some electrical work was performed earlier, but who doesn’t check if the lights are working? Now about the layout. Our room was very small and quite uncomfortable to stay in - it fit the bed and at most had 18 inches (50cm) of space around the bed to the walls. No place to open your luggage except on the bed. The washroom is a 3ft by 6ft area - fitting a shower, sink, and toilet. Too uncomfortable - not even able to bend to wash your feet in the shower. High neck tap that splashes water into the floor and on your clothes as the water strikes the sink. Really not as represented.

Great staff and a good location. Need to be fit as there is only a very small lift so we tended to use the spiral staircase.Decor needs upgrading and the lighting in one of our rooms was poor but a good price for the location we were in.

Walking distance to major attarctions like Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and close to nearby restaurants. We also felt safe with the location. Our room was small, but clean and quiet. Decent enough for a place to rest after a long day of sightseeing in a busy but beautiful city like Rome

Overall we had a good stay here. Nice hosts, good location. Accommodation was clean, nice big bed but was a littke tired in areas and not the best shower. It had a fridge but no kettle for making hot drinks which was a shame. We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic visit to Rome.

Não tem recepção para receber o hóspede e orientar sobre a acomodação e regras. Eles passam as senhas através de uma ligação e você consegue entrar no quarto. A acomodação não é nem de longe compatível com as fotos mostradas no anúncio. Espaço super pequeno e estreito se você abrir a mala no chão não consegue caminhar no quarto. Paredes imundas riscadas sujas com respingos um completo nojo. A luz desliga de 2 em 2 minutos e apaga o quarto todo. A falta de limpeza da cama e roupas de cama é nítida. A iluminação é péssima é precária também. O ar condicionado faz um barulho altíssimo se ligado impossível de dormir. O banheiro é igualmente com instalações precárias a torneira abre e vaza em toda a pia e se você tomar banho alagará o banheiro todo. A iluminação também é péssima e o secador impossível de usar. As toalhas são do banheiro são horríveis também. Os corredores com barulhos altos durante a madrugada de outros hóspedes que riam e conversavam sem parar. Resumindo péssima experiência não indico pra ninguém.

Just home from a fantastic few days staying at Basilio 55. The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location, close to all the sights in Rome. Mario was extremely helpful and goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. As first timers to Rome, this made all the difference. Arranging airport transfers, booking tickets for attractions and even helping us plan the best routes to take. Highly recommend staying at Basilio, we will definitely be back.
