Stay here if you are in Kyoto! Very friendly staff, that seemed available to help if you needed their assistance outside opening hours of the reception too. I wondered how the living arrangement was before coming, but we came as recommended before 19:30 for check-in, so there were no problems with that. It is indeed a hotel, but they offer apartment size rooms with amenities. The room we booked had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Kyoto. It was very nice to take a Japanese bath and wash our clothes. The bed was big and comfortable and the blinds were dark and nice for the night. The AC had cooling and warmth. It was quiet and a calm neighborhood. A busy main street is just above the hotel, and is not particularly charming-looking, but walk downwards towards the river for a nicer view, and you will end up in what you can call the city centre. A 7/11 is right up the same busy street.

The best hotel in our 2.5-week trip! The room was actually an apartment with kitchen, washing machine and a nice balcony. We spent 5 days there, and appreciated the possibility to cook our breakfast, because most cafes nearby open at 9 am. The location is great, with many tourist attractions within walking distance and an easy bus ride to Kyoto train station.

It was a nice stay if you want to stay somewhere traditional. We stayed for one night ant the guest house and we wanted the experience. The place didn’t feel clean. We saw French fries and napkins on the floor when we checked in. Overall it was a good stay. The bedding was very comfortable. One of the rooms has a green exit sign which was very bright when you go to sleep.

Strongly recommended. Amazing location that allows you to walk to the most popular destinations. Close to 711 and bus stop. Room was large and clean. Onsite washing machine was super convenient. Although we didn’t use the kitchen, it’s nice to have. While they don’t offer the same toiletries as business hotels, you will get the basics. We’ll come back to this hotel again

We (partner and 10 year old) loved this place- great location in the old town, quiet, lovely staff who were always so helpful (allowed us to store our luggsge on the last day, free umbrellas to use). Verr clean and tidy room, very comfortable beds, hot shower. I loved having a window that opened to a small balcony (to help dry washing too). Admittedly there wasn't a lot of room in the bedroom with three suitcases but overall a fabulous place with staff who responded quickly to emails and always greeted us warmly. Great value for money place- would stay there again.
