Fabulous B&B in Bunratty

We were looking for a property near Shannon Airport and I’m so happy we found the Parkhouse B&B. the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, immaculately clean and breakfast was wonderful. Can’t think of anything they could do to improve. Highly recommend.

Parkhouse B&B is incredibly well located to both Bunratty Castle and the Shannon Airport. In fact, it is right down the street from Bunratty Castle. Our host and hostess were so welcoming and we enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep before catching our flight home the next day. Fresh fruit, home-baked brown bread, and a choice of a hot breakfast plus a large pot of coffee rounded out our stay. Highly recommended!

We weren't at the property long. We only stayed one night. Check in hours are very limited, so we felt the need to rush to get there. We left early the next morning and it was too early for breakfast. We were given a bag breakfast, which was a nice idea, but the contents were awful. There was an apple, a pre packaged granola bar and a pre packaged pastry and a small water. The pastry was inedible. For a bed and breakfast, i would have expected a little more. Maybe a homemade muffin, or at least one from a bakery. Possibly some bread and cheese. The accomodations were fine. Location was not ideal to walk to anything.

Visit to Bunratty

We chose the Parkhouse for our final night after a three week journey along the Wild Atlantic Way. The O’Briens have a lovely home and were incredibly considerate of the fact that all three of us must be gluten free. Beautiful room. Lovely location. Just down the street from Bunratty Castle which is a must see. Highly recommend this lovely B&B. Also a very quick ride to Shannon Airport.
