Charming rooms with Queen size beds, we just got a place in the bed. New beds very hard, the youngest in the party had no problem with this. Thoughtful room, all beds had a small table and electrical outlet and lamp right next to them. USB and USB-C plug and regular English socket. So smart and we also got a small charger as a gift. Coffee Tea and biscuits in the room. Hot water in the shower and a real shower door. Nothing got wet around in this small bathroom. The neighboring room had been very cleaned. Stink of chlorine so it had to be aired out but then the smell was gone and it was clean. Narrow narrow stairs down to the basement with carpets. we had no problem with this. Breakfast was included and the five of us were satisfied. Toast, coffee Tea cheese ham cereal and eggs and fruit, some buns and lots of alternative milks 👍 Apart from the fact that the breakfast room as written before was so incredibly small. We were lucky and often got a place. but several had to stand and queue to be able to enter the room. The underground from Heathrow Airport to Russel square is about 45 min. Walk to Tottenham square or good????? (forgot the name) are also close. We will absolutely be back!

Uncomfortable bed, tried to charge twice

Uncomfortable bed, unpleasant air freshener smell permeated room, dated and stained table in room, chips in shower tiles. Data protection issue on second visit. Hotel emailed to say they would take payment from my card (even though payment had been made)... shocking! Breakfast good. I won't be staying again.

Staff was rude on arrival. When coming back from a night out around 10pm the front door was open and the man sitting behind the desk didn’t even acknowledge us not alone ask if we was staying there. Made us feel very unsafe. Room was very hot. a fan was provided but this was the noises fan I have ever seen. On a plus side location was good for a London break

Do not book the single rooms!

The single room I booked was tiny and claustrophobic with a slanted ceiling. Most of the room is a narrow corridor with no space to put your suitcase or anything else for that matter. The rooms have been divided in such a way that you hear everything the neighbouring rooms are doing and the walls shake violently when doors close. The mattress was hard and lopsided. You are forced to sleep next to the radiator. The exterior glass of the window is loose and shakes horribly when there's wind, making it difficult to sleep at night. The bathroom floor had several broken and loose tiles. I even stepped on safety glass, probably from the shower doors crumbling. There is a lot of limescale buildup so the cleaning is surface level only. The staff in reception are somewhat friendly but did not care much about me stepping on glass. The cleaning staff pay no attention to the "do not disturb" sign on your door, but entered the room anyway. The location is good but not worth the sleepless nights.

Depressing

So went to the Bloomsbury and no room, so sent a couple of doors down to the Cavendish...room smelt, TV did not work, not tidy, broken skirting boards, radiator paint cracking, old fashioned bathroom. But I slept really well, but was OK.
