Our room was large and spacious - pool and ocean view which was more than expected. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pool was okay - swim up bar was nice. One thing to note is that when booking through hotels.com (Expedia third party), there was an offer of $500 resort credit, however it is an extremely limited list of available credit. Mainly $$ off of food items. We would not have booked if we had known this as we wanted to use the credit for a spa treatment or two. We were pretty disappointed about this.

They will try to upsell you into joining a club, membership of sorts, similar to timeshares maybe. Make it clear from the beginning you are a on-time guest, and will not ever come back to the same hotel twice, no matter how good it is, because you want to experience as many as possible. Then they will not bother you for the rest of your stay.

The room was very nice, and we were upgraded to a swim out pool room, excellent! The other pools were nice but you have to have a token for towel, not provided, all chairs were reserved but most not occupied. Reservations for the restaurants were to be made at the front desk but no one there, they would not accept a reservation at the restaurant and the reception person at the steak restaurant was very unhelpful. The house wine was almost undrinkable, you have to pay extra for an average wine at high prices. Positive - good cocktails made with care, good buffet breakfast. Overall, would not stay again.

Beach was very nice and well kept. Resort was relatively clean and we saw the staff making effort to keep the areas clean. But there were bottles and glasses from previous evening still on the walk ways. Food was average and options were somewhat limited. Each restaurants had different themes, but the food seemed same but presented differently. Generally, staffs were nonchalant and indifferent although there were a few that were very friendly and helpful, but that was more of an exception. One of the down side was the sales pitch that was under the guise of free gifts. We refused the offer and one of the manager was aggressive and somewhat confrontational. I would ask the resort to be transparent about the sales pitch and respect our time and the reason that we come to the place at the first place. Lastly, if you are a nonsmoker, the resort does not seem to enforce the rules so be aware.

The $500 credit promoted by Expedia is not an actual credit, but coupons/credits for items that add up to $500 (ie, room upgrade $100 off, bottle of wine $20 off, excursion $30 off), no spa service credit. Staff were nice, but not overly attentive or helpful. The room was decently cleaned, but could have been better. We did have our snacks and drinks refilled daily. At the restaurants, the staff were sure to keep things clean, however I was given glasses on multiple occasions with lipstick/lip marks on the rim. The servers at dinner were very friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. Breakfast was always busy, so they couldn’t be as attentive. The lobby bar had the best drinks!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This resort was considerably cheaper than other resorts we’ve been to in Punta Cana. The resort itself was very clean—no issues with housekeeping in rooms and restaurants, buffet, common areas etc very clean. There simply is not enough staff so service is generally slower which we didn’t mind as we enjoyed chit chatting with our friends during dinner and weren’t in a rush to get anywhere. There were several nights when people around us got up and left their dinner reservations because of the speed of service. The staff were friendly and kind there just is not enough of them to accommodate the need. We didn’t have a bad meal but nothing stood out as amazing. Food was decent. Limited variety at the buffet, particularly for breakfast so by the end of the week we were over it but also feel like that’s pretty standard. The resort overall, very chill vibes. Had just enough entertainment options in the evening, hanging in the lobby piano bar was a good scene. Rooftop bar/pool next door on the family side was amazing.

J’ai séjourné dans cet hôtel et c’était la pire expérience dans un resort. Le personnel est nonchalant, peu souriant et souvent en discussion entre eux. Les chambres mal nettoyées, porte de la chambre qui ne ferme pas correctement, minibar non réapprovisionné et sollicitations constantes à l’hôtel et sur la plage pour des excursions ont rendu le séjour épuisant. Clairement pas un 5 étoiles, plutôt 4 au mieux.
