Don't book here

The hotel was tired and not maintained, our room was v basic, the sheets were clean but the room felt like it had not been aired and we all slept bad. The bathroom had a bad damp smell, the shower curtain smelt terrible. The breakfast was basic but they had used pots of peanut butter and Nutella out for use which was not sanitary. This was definitely not worth £200 and I'm very annoyed that we paid this money for this establishment.

Clean, a little dated but very cheap.

Great value. Staff were fantastic. Room was very basic but clean and all you need for a brief stay. I was only sleeping there, much better than anything near this price (multi occupancy hostel, no thanks). Perfect for my one night to avoid the replacement bus service and be fresh for work in the morning.

Just start by booking 1 night, and then reassess

It is passable, I suppose. They charge you for poor quality wifi. The breakfast is stale cereal and bread, instant coffee or tea, and juice. It isn't really worthwhile but I suppose it is something. They have a 36 hour cancellation policy, presumably instituted because so many people wanted to cancel immediately after arrival.

Neither "small" nor "cheap" needs to be this bad

I was actually given a room in the neighboring Grenville Hotel, rather than the Guilford. It was a very small single. Furnishings were all in poor condition, the place desperately needs cleaning and airing out. The single-glazed windows did nothing to shut out the city noise anyway, but the smell of damp means you're best leaving it open. The "bathroom" (crammed inside a sodden cupboard) was really grim. Despite following the quirky instructions, I could get no hot water from the tap or the shower.

Decent price, great location, good service

Its a decent hotel at quite center of london. For a decent price. Much better than staying at the airBnB or hostels. Its close to chancery lane tube station and has plenty restaurants nearby. The breakfast is okayish but the hosts are very hospitable.

Penser à prendre vos plaquettes, pour ne pas mettre les pieds au sol , zero ménage sur les quatre jours de notre séjour, quartier très calme, station Russel Square à 5 minutes a pieds. Nous avons fait l'expérience du petit déjeuner une seule fois, nous n'avons pas voulu y retourner. Insonorisation zéro, la chambre était sale surtout dans la cabine de douche.

Really only needed a base for one night, it was good for that reason....was warm, quiet, clean....small room, small bathroom...but everything was there for you to use....WiFi is extra....breakfast, although included, not up to much, cereal & toast only.... Hvis du gerne vil have et billigt hotel i et okay området i London så er det da en mulighed. Vi brugte ikke værelset så meget men der var en del fejl og mangler. Badet havde intet varmt vand til at tage bad i, selvom der var i håndvasken. Sengene var umildbart lavet af papkasser og ikke særlig gode at sove i. Fjernsynet virket men man kunne ikke skifte kanal eller skrue ned. Radiatoren var tændt på maks uden nogle mulighed for at skrue ned for varmen så vinduet var nødt til at stå åben Morgenmaden var tarvelig at kalde for morgenmad. Hvidt toastbrød med smør som eneste mulighed. Nu var vi afsted på en drengetur men vi kommer nok ikke tilbage
