Excellent hotel, with large, well-appointed rooms in an area that is convenient for accessing things in Kyoto. The hotel staff members were excellent, so friendly and helpful. I forgot to make a dinner reservation for my first night in Kyoto, and the two ladies working the front desk called five places for me, and the one I visited was recommended by the hotel staff member and was incredible! The hotel also has a nice lounge. Great stay!

The General Kyoto Shijo is the best hotel! This is my second time staying there and it did not disappoint. It is very clean, the staff is friendly and it is close to Nishiki market and lots of other amazing sites in Kyoto.
