Close to the center of town by only a few blocks yet with a secluded and restful vibe. Great characterful rooms across multiple remodeled Victorian buildings made this a memorable stay. A cosy bar, great continental breakfasts and great local scene guidance add to a 10/10 experience. Most significantly while it is not staffed 24/7 the daytime staff could not have done more to help with grace and a warm smile. Probably some of the most professional, welcoming and genuinely interested staff I have ever come across in many hotel stays around the world. Can't wait to return

The downtown location of this hotel is incredible - you can walk to restaurants, shops, and breweries. Parking was easy, the room was TO DIE for, the whole property is incredibly clean, tbe breakfast is delicious, there’s coffee/tea/water all the time, the patio between houses is super nice, the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was amazing. 15/10, literally cannot wait to go back.

For our first visit to Asheville we chose Zelda Dearest and stayed in the Darling Heart room. The hotel is a unique place with rooms set about several different buildings surrounding a courtyard. The location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of the main shopping/restaurant/bars in downtown Asheville. (There are several fantastic restaurants located within a 5-15 minute walk.) Our accommodation was very spacious having a living room, separate bedroom with a king bed, and large bathroom. Unfortunately, the sofa sleeper in the living room was not comfortable, which we needed to use for the first night due to a maintenance issue in the bedroom. Thankfully, the issue was resolved the next day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking is available on site but you may have to pay for it (unless it’s included in your booking fee.) There is a small bar/lounge area that is quaint and the mixologist does a fine job serving up your favorite Flapper era beverage. Unfortunately, the breakfast options for us (gluten-free) were marginal. If you like a continental type breakfast, you’ll enjoy it. Overall, a unique experience at Zelda Dearest.

We absolutely loved Zelda Dearest. This place has quickly become our go-to when we’re in Asheville — the 1920s vibe, the atmosphere, the staff — all of it just works. Breakfast was fantastic and the perfect way to start the morning before heading out to explore downtown. The location is great too, easy walking distance to everything. Zelda Dearest is the most charming place you can stay in Asheville. A mix of comfort, luxury, and convenience made better by the excellent staff. They remember and treat their returning guests exceptionally well. There’s plenty to explore close by, but this is a wonderful place to enjoy on its own. Slow mornings in the courtyard or starting the evening at Wine & Roses. You leave your stay feeling restored and refreshed, but I’m always terribly sad to check out. No amount of days here is enough!
