Relaxing Couple Retreat

We had a wonderful night stay in the Willow room on a Tuesday night and had the entire place to ourselves. We swam in the pool, sat on the balcony, walked down to the pond, and hung out in the living room. We highly recommend staying here and plan to visit again to experience the other room options.

Amazon Inn about 23 miles from Memphis and well worth the drive. Absolutely beautiful grounds and room. The crown mouldings were awesome. Never saw staff, great concept for check in/out. We can’t say enough good things about this place. It was a wonderful way to spend our last night in “the South”.

Beautiful grounds and rooms. Very clean and modern rooms. Only downside was there wasn’t any breakfast. The inn is designed specifically for weddings and we stayed mid-week.

My wife and I loved our stay and highly recommend Bonne Terre if you are in the Memphis area. Christy, the owner, is great and very responsive if you need something or have questions. Bonne Terra is in a very quiet location but an easy drive to good restaurants, shopping, and all the Memphis attractions. We originally planned to stay 2 days and once we got there extended our stay to 6 days. We look forward to staying there again the next time we are in the area.

We needed a quick stay near Southaven for a concert and all of the hotels were so expensive. I had never heard of Bonne Terre so wasn’t sure what to expect. We stayed in the Sycamore room and everything was perfect. We had our own room and bathroom and everything was so beautifully decorated and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was huge. We didn’t wake up for breakfast but there was complimentary coffee in the shared living room. Definitely will stay again if we’re in the area.

It was very nice and cozy would stay here again. Only negatives, was heat in the room never got above 63 despite being on 72 they did have electric heater in room but it wasn’t very effective and when we got up to check on breakfast next door it was locked uptight. I do believe that we were the only guests that night but we did get a cup of coffee in the Inn where the rooms are. So overall I still give a 9.8 out of 10. (By the way my wife likes to keep it 4 or 5 degrees colder than I do so room temp didn’t really bother her)

Beautiful location, no service

I had booked the Sycamore room, but received an email saying that there were plumbing issues and I would be switched to a different room. This was not a problem, although the room I received was significantly smaller. The home is beautiful, but the bedstead was wobbly, there were no instructions on how to use the television services, and at times it was noisy outside in the front of the building where my room was. I was supposed to have a self-serve breakfast, but the building where breakfast was to be was locked. No one responded to my messages nor did I receive a credit or refund for the lack of an included service. While it's a beautiful place, I would not stay here again. I believe that I was the only person in the building, and the front door being left unlocked was disconcerting.

Disappointed

For a bed and breakfast this was not what we expected. No fridge, no microwave , noone there. Hot in the room, we turned ac down just was still hot. Bed very hard, and you could tell the owner doesnt want to spend money on it. Its a shame the original owners didnt do this. I booked this as a surprise overnight getaway for my husband and myself and was very disappointed. I usually go to Big Cypress Lodge Bass Pro in Memphis or the Rosemount Inn in Little Rock bed and breakfast but I thought I would give this a try. I was very disappointed. If you want a tru bed and breakfast or even something above a hotel do not stay here. If you do not care about tge extras and just want a place to stay then it will work. We just wont be back.

Chill city in the wilderness

We needed a chill place and this was it. One improvement would be to make breakfast warmer please. But taste of this and food at the restaurant were perfect. As was the room and facilities.

Let me just start by saying the this property is so beautiful! Check in was super easy and convenient. I initially stayed in the Willow room (gorgeous and comfortable) but it became very noisy because of the wind and trees scraping the side of the building. I brought this to the host’s attention and she was very accommodating! I was moved to another beautiful room and I was able to truly relax. This will be my new home away from home when I need to take a staycation.
