Hotel was clean and friendly, a lot of noisy guests, but served it purpose
Nicholas, 1-night trip

Great location

We booked The Old Post Office Hotel based on it’s nearness to both The Train station and The Piece Hall.. Less than 5 minutes to both. We were greeted by Jackie, who was lively.
Julie, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Checking in was easy, Jackie and her team were very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was comfy and lots of hot water for a shower. Hotel very convenient location. The pub had a great vibe. Would definitely recommend and would stay again

The Old Post Office Hotel Halifax.

Bargain hotel in a good little pub, right in the centre of Halifax. Accommodation was basic but perfect for my one night stay. Ideal for a gig at The Piece Hall. I would definitely stay here again.
Gary, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

There was a very friendly and helpful welcome from Jackie, the manager. The room was tidy, clean with an extremely comfortable bed. You need to watch your head on the beams in that room but it has superb views and was both warm and remarkably quiet for a pub. Recommended
Paul, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Affordable basic accommodation in the centre of Halifax. The room was clean the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The staff were really friendly, funny and accommodating. If we are going to another gig at the peice hall we'll be booking here again.

Rebecca, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The Old Post Office is easy to find from the bus station. A warm welcome from the manager and easy to follow instructions for getting in out of hours. Room is cosy and comfortable. The Old Post Office is just a 5-10 minute walk to the Minster. If you’re going to a show at the Minster, you can’t go wrong staying over at The Old Post Office.

Clean and tidy but the rooms are a bit tired.

The actual building is used as a sports training venue for both young and adults. Very secure parking and finding a decent restaurant facility in the area might be a bit of a search. Very clean and accommodating. Very close to the Motorway 411 and so clear run to Luxembourg.

4/10 Fair

Very basic but in a good location for Piece Hall. Room dusty and not clean in parts. Curtains very thin so bring an eye mask!
sally, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Extremely dirty. Very basic furnishing and well over priced for such a poor standard of room. Would not recommend.
elizabeth, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room had not been cleaned properly, we found contact lenses and pack on the floor and dust bunnies wafting when movement caused a breeze. The floor was also sticky in parts. While good for access to the Woolshops, cannot recommend a stay here.
Victoria, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location with a friendly northern welcome. Bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The whole place could do with a deep clean, refurb and a refresh. Out of hours entry was via back of the pub and wasn't very well lit. Toilet and shower were on the floor below. The small bolt on the toilet door didn't really work. Locks on rooms were Yale locks, which felt a bit inadequate. I'd recommend a stay here if you're going to a gig with a bunch of mates. However. I wouldn't really recommend for a female solo traveller or for longer stays.

Good stay

Good welcome on arrival and great location for ourselves
Peter, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Never ever stay here

Old smelly rooms No toilet roll in the bathrooms Shower doesn't get warm Ariel doesn't get a signal for basic Freeview unless you put it in the sink and then it very poor Inside of the kettle was full of limescale
G, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was good for my one night stay. The 2 members of staff i met, jackie who did check in and the lady on the bar were so nice and helpful. Excellent location, couple of minutes walk from piece hall. I have no complaints about the accomodation itself, I do think the cost was a little high for what i actually had though which was a small one person room with shared bathroom. I paid arounf £68.

Hotel for Gig at Peice Hall

Nice enough place to stay for what we wanted. Handy for the Gig we were going to as its was only a 5 minute walk to the venue. Jackie and Sharon were very nice and helpful and the place was busy.Only down side we had was that the bed was a bit to low and soft for us.Also it was in a aclove which made it a bit of a struggle to get into and out off.(we prefer a highish bed with a firm mattress) Apart from that was decent enough for the one night stay we had. Also note that the car park behind the hotel/pub was fairly small and only had spaces fpr about 8 cars tho there is a car park across the road which cost £9 per 24 hours. If you are planning to go to a gig at the Piece Hall and planning to just stay one night it fits the bill.
Michael, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very basic room which was expected. Bed was comfortable. Very quiet area. Property very run down needs a refurbishment. Was ok for 1 night but wouldn’t stay again.
Karen, 1-night trip

2nd stay, would stay again

Affordable option which is ideal for the Piece Hall. No bells and whistles but homely. Small and independant and good to support a local business. Not the ritz but quirky, clean and comfortable.
Natasha, 1-night trip

Great pub with rooms ideal for a quick stopover when seeing a gig in the Piece Hall
