Hotel was great but on your website it said it had a restaurant but didn't say it's shut Mon and Tues but luckily they was expecting a group of runners and was doing chips for them so offered to do me a burger and chips (had no choice) the breakfast was supposed to be at 8 30am ( I was the only guest that night) but was down at 8 20am and waited till 9am and still nobody came so left the pup with no breakfast very disappointed apart from that every thing was ok except the £15.50 for the burger

Fair Digs

Room v small (comfort double) but fine for single traveller. Breakfast was really nice, served up by a good front of house host. A bit of a remote location and pub closes at 930pm.

Check in: good. Room: small but clean with comfy bed and a great shower, perfect for single traveller. Food: had the pork belly recommended by the Barman, proved to be tasty. Breakfast was personal choice, I went for the full English and very nice. Staff were all friendly and helpful, the locals were also friendly and welcoming. Only issue was the temperature in the bar, need to get the log burner going please.

Couldn’t book in until 5pm which I think is quite late and had to be out by 10am. Room was far too hot even with the window open. No instructions in the room whatsoever regarding meals or checkout. Apparently breakfast had to be pre-ordered the day before at the bar so on the first morning when we went down for breakfast we waited 15 mins along with another guest for someone to come and were lead into the breakfast room via the kitchen. Service was slow. We left our breakfast details on the bar for the 2nd day but when we got there everywhere was locked up. We tried the mobile number on the door but know-body answered Really unorganised. The breakfast forms should have been in our room and there should have been a box for guests to put them into. Then when we came to leave there were no instructions of what to do with the room keys and there wasn’t anyone there to ask. Once again a box to deposit keys into is required. Such a shame -this hotel was a 5min drive from our sons home but we won’t be returning.

Hidden gem with great food

Despite some minor challenges with sorting our check-in, Kordian (B&B owner/manager) more than made up for it with his warm & friendly welcome and making us feel right at home. The room was clean and very comfortable and the fry up in a bap for breakfast was impressive! Thanks for making our trip that bit more fun : )

The six bells

Lovely little b n b in its great staff. Room was clean and comfy. We were going to a concert at Englefied house. Got an uber there. We were told by the bar staff that they would be open until midnight for our return so that we could have a drink before bed but in our return the lad behind the bar told us they had closed at 10-45pm and we couldn’t have one even although we had a tab and were staying there. In the morning the owner done our breakfast and he was a pleasure to deal with. All in all I would return and stay again but would triple check closing time of the bar

Not what I expected but ok for the price

Advertised to have the option to 'unwind at the bar or restaurant' - neither of which were serving food the night I stayed. Also advertised as having a 'cooked to order breakfast' - all that was available was 2 types of cereal in their boxes, some yoghurts and some berries, still in their plastic supermarket containers. The staff were lovely and despite my room not being ready due to a glitch with the cleaner, my stay was ok. The room was hot, the bed had a thick, feather duvet on it and only a small fan to keep cool.
