Superb 15th century Inn, in the depths of the Devon countryside, so much character. The bar was busy all evening, with a couple of decent ales and the restaurant was excellent. My only small issue was that the shower was a bit 'spray the room'. The lady on duty that evening was really helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

A character historic pub in a nice rural location, although roads are very Devon and narrow in places! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Good food and service with a selection of beers with real ale under gravity from the cask. Very popular with diners on a Saturday night. Room reflected the nature of the property but was clean and comfy. Good selection and quality for breakfast. Went with trad English but kippers and salmon on offer.

Unfortunately they forgot to put cups/mugs but there was coffee just nothing to drink it in. Alas there was a hairdryer diffuser in the drawer but not the rest of the hairdryer and the towels looked like they had been used as dust sheets whilst decorating. One night stay on route to Plymouth

Quite an olde worlde type hotel. Very narrow country roads to get there, basic but quite comfortable, spaceous room, quite at night, plenty accessories. Fantastic food though, evening meals and breakfast, and staff extremely pleasant and helpfull.
