So sad and dissatisfied with our stay here, we stayed at the Senator in Estepona so we were expecting the same service. Instead the hotel is full of extra costs once you arrive, terrible air con, old rooms and poor service with rude & unhelpful staff, with the exception of a handful.
Firstly, we booked a room for the night before we arrived as we needed to check in at 9:30am (so the room should be ready and waiting) we had to wait 45 minutes to get in. This was extremely infuriating right from the start.
The room is outdated and the aircon which is an old integrated system did not cool the room down for the whole duration of our stay - my dog was panting in the night and I had to put a wet towel over her. My partner couldn’t focus on his work because it was so uncomfortable
It costs €20 to use the sauna…This is completely absurd, I’ve never been to a hotel in my life that charges guests to use the spa facilities. Part of the reason I booked here is to use the sauna each day as since I’ve had my lymphoma sweating is the only way to drain my body of the excess fluid.
Secondly, it is €25 per day for a dog. I understand a cleaning charge however our room was not cleaned once for the 3 days we were here which makes it incomprehensible, they also don’t even provide dog bowls.
The parking is €26 a day - I can just about understand a charge but to be more expensive than the multi story down the road is extremely poor. I recommend at least being cheaper than public parking as a
