The best hotel I’ve ever stayed

The unit basically is a one-bed apartment with complete kitchen and washer&dryer. Very comfortable. The location is convenient to heart of downtown and airport with buses.

Loved our stay here! Great service when we needed a replacement remote and amazing space to spend a few days in Toronto. Appreciated the safety with the keypad and the restaurants around the area. Would love to book again. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful unit to stay at. Doors of the washroom weren't in the most function state, but overall space was well maintained. Would've been better if the shower was enclosed completely.

Very nice space. The staff were very helpful sorting out a reservation problem. The room was very comfortable for 2. The kitchen was very convenient and well supplied. There is good shopping at a Metro grocery store less than a 10-minute walk away.

First time at a Sonder. Would definitely use again! So glad I purchased the parking spot! Underground secure, temperature controlled area! For winter time in Toronto that was fantastic! Place was clean, quiet and had all the amenities we needed!

We’ve stayed at a Sonder before in nyc and loved it so we decided to stay at one in Toronto & it didn’t disappoint. The only reason I took a star off was cause the mattress was soo stiff after 2 nights our back was hurting. But the viewssss omgggg the balcony was everything but it’s was pretty far from the downtown area. Expedia stated Roger center was a 5 min drive but it was actually 15min and on bus 30min depending traffic. But overall we felt safe and cozy. We were walking distance from 2 supermarkets and bunch of bars restaurants and a Tim Hurton’s. Check in was superrr easyyy the gave a code and worked every time.

I’ve been using Sonders for about a year and I must say that it is one of the best ones I’ve stayed at. The area is family-friendly, safe and quiet. Public transportation is nearby and there’s multiple little coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The room I had was massive with an equally massive balcony. Given the opportunity, I’d definitely return to this location whenever I’ll be back in Toronto.

Worst experience in 50+ years of travelling

Between the exasperating reservation process and the even more horrendous check-in experience this was the single worst stay in nearly 50 years of travelling all over the world. Thank goodness for the one poor soul in-duty at the front desk who was very helpful but the rest of the system needs serious review. Would not recommend AT ALL to anyone considering a stay at a Sonder property!!

Great property and location. Exactly as pictured and as you’d expect. Only complaint is that the white shades don’t really do anything to darken bedrooms. Convenient to bus/street car to get downtown (up to 40 min ride). Easy walk to lakefront and dining. We unexpectedly had a car for a few days and learned that the on-site parking is a must. Very limited and restricted on-street parking in Toronto.

Nice rooms, horrible set up for checking in

They require you to check in through this app that is very frustrating to use. Got to scan your drivers license and take a picture of your face. To aquire parking is another process, actually a two part process. After paying for parking, there is a separate form to fill out that they dont tell you about. We found out when we looked for our parking code. After the form is filled out it takes up to an hour to get approved, we were stuck waiting outside after a long drive. There is also not proper signage in the parking garage as to where the elevator is. We ended up locked in the stairwell and had to climb a couple flights with all of our luggage before being able to exit on the street. Nice rooms though once we finally got in.

I checked into my Sonder and the room was unbelievably smelly (almost having the smell of BO from a previous guest??). I have had the window in the room open for several hours and the smell still hasn’t passed. I really don’t think this is acceptable and I would like you to know I’ll be rating this stay accordingly online. Definitely will not be using Sonder again! The group in the room below is also extremely loud and it’s late at night on a week day. I’m here for a conference and I booked this room to get some rest before presenting. This is super frustrating and one of the worse experiences I’ve had on a work trip.

Stay away. Worst customer service & will scam you.

Absolute TERRIBLE management. Cancelled my reservation the day before I landed. Talked to Sonder customer service, they said nothing was wrong with the reservation. Then the day of, texted to say that my reservation as indeed cancelled. Some security insurance or something like that with my credit card. Rebooked last minute with Hotels.com and no issues but paid a higher price. Followed up with some outsourced customer service and they were absolutely no help. Kept my original booking cost for about a week before it was refunded. Worthless. You can actually google Sonder online and read all of the terrible reviews. Cancelling someones reservation the night before arrival is absolutely appalling.

Great location, below average services + room

The location of the hotel is fantastic, and the rooms are both very clean and comfortable. I would say this is an OK hotel, but for the price you pay, I left very dissapointed. Let me tell you why: there were many small things that when added together, felt as if the staff and hotel management were cutting corners, spread too thin, or not attentive to details. Our experience: - Bathroom doors (our bathroom had two separate doors) were both misaligned, which meant they were loud and hard to use/close in the middle of the night without waking up others in the room - We requested extra sheets (for the sofa bed) and towels, person at the front door told us she would send it right away. Six hours later, we went downstairs to make the request again, didn't find anyone, and had to call to request it because they had forgotten - I used the app to text the staff a question about the room, and they never responded (we eventually figured it out) - When checking out, we waited 2+ hours in front of the lobby (which is supposed to be managed 24/7) waiting for the staff to store our luggage. When someone finally came by, and let us store our luggage, they noted that someone would be back at 3pm (sounds like the morning staff person was no show). When we came back, no one was there at 3 and another guest was anxiously waiting to pick up his luggage. He called the phone, someone came by to tell him that they weren't able to open the storage, so after another call they remotely open.
