The staff was multi-lingual, helped with our luggage when we arrived early and help make dinner recommendations. The design and interiors were very nice. We loved the cold plunge pool and courtyard. Only suggestion: the rooms and patios can use some hooks for hanging towels, swimsuits, etc. The breakfast was so beautifully presented and very much appreciated for our 50 km bike ride to St. Feliu de Guixols

Perfect start to our trip

Stopped in Girona for 3 nights to start our trip. It spoiled us for sure. the staff was above attentive and super flexible. Breakfast was amazing. The location could not have been better. Add to that a comfortable, elegant room and beautiful common areas and it made a perfect stay!

Nice and well located design hotel

Location and staff could not have been better. Be sure to book a visit to the interior zen pool and visit the roof terrace that I only discovered the last day. Interior design is very nice and "instagrammable". Only negative points were no table in room for working, I was told that I could work in the library. And the TV started with a guide to get to a portal that did not work. To get to the regular tv channels I had to get tech support. Other than these minor isssues everything worked.

8/10 Very good

I very much enjoyed my stay. The location in the middle of the old city was perfect. The breakfasts were very good and varied but served in a slightly quirky fashion. I, personally, prefer a buffet when one can select what one wants when one wants. My room layout was also a bit strange but, maybe, that's down to the way several very old buildings have been combined and refurbished. Two things I didn't like were the light switch set up, which was really odd and confusing. Also, there was no power socket close to the bed which would have been useful for phone charging etc. I was also shocked that smoking was allowed in the hotel atrium which is the main sitting area adjacent to the bar. The area is technically open to the sky but it's used like an inside space. Not pleasant!

Good not great

Generally a good experience with a few flaws. A lot of facts about the hotel work well but service is a little spotty. Two examples came up: the first was that the roof deck area was not always open for breakfast. When I checked in they asked for an approximate time for breakfast which I provided. That time was within the roof deck's opening hours. I was not asked if I wanted indoor or outdoor. When I went to the roof to have breakfast I was told that I had to go downstairs as reservations had to be made for the roof breakfast (though no one was there). This was all just very strange - It's fine if there's a system but you need to tell people what it is. Second example: My stay was on a whim because my train back to Barcelona was cancelled. As a result I only had my daytime clothes. Nothing too casual but more daytime than night time appropriate. When I came back from doing some exploring I thought to have a cocktail in the bar in the courtyard. Since I was coming from outside the hotel it was not immediately obvious I was a guest. The host gave me a sort of condescending sorry we don't have space at first. When I asked if they had any tables held for hotel guests the manner completely changed. They did not have anything outside so I ultimately skipped the drinks, but it rubs me a bit the wrong way when there's this sort of phoney exclusivity. Not very pleasant.

Absolute luxury. My only regret is not staying longer. Amazing vegan options for breakfast, wonderful, walkable area and the spa was the highlight of my trip. Counting down until I can stay again.

What a gorgeous little hotel! Private terrace, a pool to cool off in, and right in the middle of the beautiful old town. Staff incredibly attentive and helpful, and they had a special offer on spa treatments which we enjoyed whilst there.

Great historic building updated to feel sophisticated, modern, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, the bar and cocktail areas were great too. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location is right in the heart of the old city so it was a bit noisy at night but that was a small price to pay for such a lovely hotel.

A Good Idea

A very nice hotel in the heart of old town Girona. The location was perfect in order to appreciate the main parts of the old town. The hotel management was charming and assisted when necessary. This is a distinct complex that represents the beauties of midieval Girona. The breakfast was a treat and the areas available for dining all had memorable beauties.
