The hotel is very old and in need of refurbishment. The bed was clean and very comfortable but there were a lot of spiders around the windows. Breakfast was very basic!

Family atmosphere and friendly front desk staff! Several meals in the restaurant. Really enjoyed the BEEF BOURGUIGNON and I have to admitted I took my dessert of Creme’ Brûlée to my room two nights in a row! Delicious!!! Very accessible to the Glendalough Monastic Site and the many hiking trails in Wicklow Mountains National Park. A bit off season so staff were seen working in all areas…great people! Loved my cozy corner room with a desk and really comfy bed! Happy 55th Birthday to me -2026!

6/10 Good

Food service in the breakfast area was poor. A lot of stuff wasn’t out, there wasn’t a lot of cups or glasses for beverages. Food choices were extremely limited. Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean, and exceptionally well situated if you want to just enjoy the Wicklow mountains

2/10 Poor

A very young, untrained and uncouth staff - coming off as rude and checked out as a result. This place could be amazing. Bedrooms were solid. Reception staff and waiter/bar staff unbelievably rude. I hate not to leave 20%....but I simply could not do it here. The food is mediocre, as indicated on other sites. Head down to the restaurant down the street by foot or car for great craic and great food at same price: Wicklow Heather, with a free shuttle back to the hotel if you do stay there. The kitchen also fuels the fast food bar at the entrance, which is always packed. I'm multi-lingual, no stranger to Ireland, my native land, and expect people to be friendly and polite. I stayed in 6 hotels on this trip, and the other 5 were great, both high and low end. My wife and adult kids hated this place. This place needs a few solid managers who want repeat customers.

In the heart of the Wicklow Mountains national Park. You can start your hikes right out the front door. The bar was good with friendly staff, the restaurant was also good and convenient. Parking was easy and on the property.

In a lovely location with numerous walking trails. Restaurant and bar was very good, large portions and a variety of nice selection. Rooms were a bit dated and maid service lacking. Floors not vacuumed during our stay, beds not made, toilet paper not refilled. I would stay here again.
