This hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and is heavily used by hikers walking the Camino, but it is currently in need of renovation. We stayed in a sea-view room, which turned out to be very small. Unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard, making it difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. There was also a significant amount of traffic noise coming from the road because the doors are poorly insulated. On the positive side, the pool area is nice and well-maintained. The breakfast was okay, but in our opinion, it is not worth paying extra for. You can get much better food and a more authentic experience by stopping by one of the many local bakeries nearby instead. Overall, it works as a stopover, but a few upgrades would improve the experience significantly.

Great hotel in a great location

This hotel, with a charming exterior, is all class inside. The rooms are well kept, as are the common areas. The breakfast buffet is tasty and well stocked, and the in-house restaurant a fine Portuguese dining experience. This would be wonderful hotel regardless of location, but to find it within walking distance to Praia de Esposende was a bonus.

Loved the room and the pool. The staff in the bar was excellent and attentive! The front desk staff was not as nice. Could not find my reservation and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
