The property was welcome to pets and was a nice cabin in the woods. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs on the spacious deck, watching the clouds and trees. At night used the fire pit to make smores. My son and I even played ping pong, foosball, and billards (nice addition to the place.) One room had a queen and two bunk beds so we could have brought two of my son's friends. It was about an hour to Sedona, so we went there to the red rocks during the day. Also under an hour to Flagstaff. You do need to bring/get groceries in Flagstaff or Sedona because it is a small mountain town and the 3ish restaurants close early. But it does add to some of the mountain charm.
