Bad decision

The hallway smelled like smoke as soon as you walked in, the room smelled as well. The smoke detector didn’t even have a battery in it and was hanging open. The picture of the TV quality was bad. The towels were dingy and looked dirty. The curtains had paint splattered over them.

Unfortunately when we drove up we noticed the hotel was in disrepair, the photos on hotels.com did not indicate this. The room was not acceptable, we spent a few minutes in the room discussing how we didn't even want to remove our shoes. The window was cracked and cloudy. Below the window the wall had mold and streak marks from water running down the wall with more mold at the bottom. The chair in the room was not usable the cushion was all puffed up I'm not sure from what. We decided to leave and drive to another hotel 30 minutes away. On our way down the stairs (no elevator) the stairs were giving way under our feet (spongy texture), we were concerned for our safety. When we left, the hotel clerk said to contact Expedia for a refund. When hotels.com was contacted they did not have the correct phone number for the hotel. A few days later we were informed by hotels.com that the hotel would not approve a refund and there was nothing more they could do. We had paid a premium for the the hotel $240CAD because of the car show in town. They really take advantage of people at this hotel!!! We felt sorry for those that needed to remain in Carlisle and didn't have an option to leave.

I did not even stay. As soon as i walked in the room and turned the light on cockroaches scattered everywhere. There were even dead ones on the floor. It was filthy there. BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE.

You get what you get for the price, but we booked 3 rooms, they didn’t even try to place us next to each other when they made up our room cards, parking lot was not packed and I could see the open rooms on the screen. The rooms were “updated” but not very well, the light switch in the bathroom you could see into the wall around the outlet cover, the smoke detector looked like they tried to hard wire a battery operated one in, no battery in it, the outlet box halfway behind and under the smoke detector you could see the wires in the box and the wire caps on them, tried using the test button on the smoke detector, it didn’t work. There’s a water stain in the toilet. The floor in the bathroom behind the door was sticky and had dirt and hair stuck in it. Someone saw a cockroach in the other room before we left. Part of the window was placed against the wall in our room, hidden behind the curtain. Like a protector or double pane to the window. The door to the hallway had a gap between it and the frame where it latches- someone could stick a flat item in between and jimmy the door open. Breakfast was, waffle maker, cereal, bagels, toast, OJ, muffins.

This was a scam. Advertised as a travel lodge by Wyndham but it’s actually a super 8 it was dirty with unmaintained bathrooms. Entire place smells like cigarettes. The rate was super expensive. Don’t book here.

Overall terrible property, pictures are VERY deceiving. Place was disgusting, they definitely didnt clean the room. Dirt and hair all over floor. If youre looking to take a bath and shower all at once, this is your place cause the shower doesnt drain. I was standing with water halfway up the tub. Phone to call front desk barely works, hair dryer doesnt work, smoke alarm has no battery in it!?! Mini fridge has red gunk in it, none of the surfaces were wiped and they didnt replenish hardly any towels in room. I had to go ask for some... overall terrible

Awful. Shady area, dirty rooms, but no bed bugs, so that was a plus. Rooms smelled like smoke, and outside smells like someone got sick on the stairwell. Creepy area all around. Didn't have a smoke detector and strange mold like areas on the ceiling. So turned off, that I didn't even shower in the place. Stayed one night, and that was one night too much.

budget to upmost

it's a budget hotel, next to the super 8 motel, matter of fact, i think the same people managed/owned, both of them. i spent 8 weeks at the super 8 motel when i was working at Walmart, would've stayed longer, but unfortunately couldn't get the same price. the room i got was a bit of a mess, the tub was clogged, the television kept freezing during the football game, the room was very small, and of need of repairs, if i was staying a few more days, i would have asked to be moved, but since I was only there for one day, and it's was only 43$?something like that, it wasn't a problem.
