Stayed for two nights whilst visiting for the Europa League Final. Perfect for what we needed which was a bed to sleep in and a shower. Reasonably priced, family run accommodation, friendly people, welcoming and helpful. Clean, tidy and close to Taskim Square. Would I stay again? Absolutely. If you are looking to explore Istanbul using public transportation, Taksim is the right place to stay around. However you must be ready to embrace a night life around the place (it never stops, really!). This hotel is offering a unique combination of being close (5 min walk) to the transportation hub and ability to sleep in a quiet room without street noise (our room faced the street!). The room we stayed was a rather small, but well organized, climate controlled, with a full size sparkling clean walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Ismail and his father were excellent hosts, and were ready to help with anything we asked for. The communication was easy and efficient. I would really recommend this hotel for the travelers, who want to explore the city efficiently, on a budget, and follow their own sleeping routine.

Gökotta Suite Hotel is situated only a slow 6 minute walk (ca 200+ m) from the Metro-station in Taksim Square. The hotel is nice, cosy, clean, well kept, in a safe and quiet area with many other hotels, minishops and small restaurants next door/just around the corner. The staff looks after you 24/7 and is more than willing to help you out. The rooms are large, comforatble and clean. The bathroom is nice and has a great water pressure. If you are looking for a lively nightlife with many different restaurants etc, these are only 3-4 minutes away by foot. To sum it all up. The hotel is perfectly quiet with the greater area full of adventure, food and bustly nightlife running long into the late morning (3-4 am). Close to Taksim Square, which is the natural hot spot of Istanbul. This is the perfect hotel to explore Istanbul, as it is close to all necessities, including the major Metro station at Taksim Square. The ride by Metro from Taksim Square to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport takes 1 h 20 minutes and includes changing trains at Yenikapi and Ayrilik Cesmesi, respectively. Gökotta Suite Hotel is highly recommended for all sorts of holidays. Thanks a lot! I will be back!

This little hotel is wonderful! It's family-run and they recently renovated the entire place including adding an elevator and a security system, The location is excellent! Its on a side street close to Taksim square, and far from the noisy entertainment streets, but a short walk away. Its also a great spot to get the metro. Our room was a suite with a balcony and a good city view. All new bathroom, bedroom and living room. And because there are only two rooms for floor with a hallway separating them, its quite and private. The family is friendly and goes out of their way to help guests. They live on the first floor, so d there is always someone there is you need help. We loved it and will stay there again!!
