Very friendly staff and great location, close to everything, but still residential and relaxing. We were here in the fall, and I'd recommend fall or spring. The rooms do not have climate control. Windows, fans, and space heaters are all available, but I'd not recommend the hotel if climate control is essential to you.

GREAT bar and EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY staff! I missed the fine print that the bathrooms/showers are shared. Small college-type dorm rooms, but nice quiet neighborhood.Close to the fish market and Darling Harbor. The pub can't be beat. Very friendly locals, just know you don't have a private bath.

Check-in was quick and easy in this little hotel outside of downtown Sydney, which sits above a bar. A free drink was included. Food is available at a 15% discount. We got the private room with the bathroom, but we noticed there were three common bathrooms available as well. The hotel was a few blocks from the Exhibition stop for the tram L1. Price was much cheaper than staying in the harbor area. This hotel was perfect for a short stay. It made our needs perfectly and is only about four stops away from the airport T8 train.

Staff were very helpful in this venerable inner-city hotel, perched on the hill above Darling Harbour with a view of the city skyline on the other side, in a quiet one-way street that opened onto little Ada Place. If you want an ensuite bathroom, book the Family suite--otherwise you're sharing bathrooms and guest kitchen. I walked straight across Darling Harbour from there so you're in the centre (George Street) in 20 mins or so. I didn't dine at the Wolseley--plenty of cafes on your way into town. Very friendly help from staff, rooms pleasant and extra clean. I felt welcome. I'm in my late seventies so a smile and flexibility both count when I stay away from home!

Lovely pub full of character. Lovely staff, Scarlett on the bar and another young man who both were very helpful and friendly. They play old-school groovy music and combined with their hospitality and the vintage nostalgia of the old English style pub, you feel like you're transported back in time. The sleeping areas are lovely and the bed and pillow very comfortable. A cute little kitchen area overlooking the city, and some lovely little touches including old photographs of Sydney on the walls also add to the nostalgic cozy vibe. Very clean bathrooms also. We will be back.
