Great location and Pods were very good, only issue was the staff member that was on when we checked in did not know how the EV chargers worked and could not find the fob. This meant we were unable to charge our vehicle overnight. More training need for the team.

The cosy cabin was clean and quiet located on hill. The main lodge was modern and comfortable. It was about a mile from the small town of Portree. While I did enjoy my stay, I felt it was very overpriced.

I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The little units were well equipped with a bed and bathroom, air conditioning, TV etc. The units are small but it was such an interesting experience so would highly recommend. The restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was well done and dinners were top notch. My only complaint was the main hall was warm but other than that it was well done.

Bracken Hide Hotel.

The Bracken Hide hotel is one of the most unique hotels we have stayed at. The location was walking distance to Portree. The restaurant and bar had great views and staff very friendly and helpful. An area to improve is communication from the pods to the reception. After cleaning our room they did not leave us towels. We tried to contact the front desk by calling with iur cell phone around 9:00pm and no one answered. We had ti use the bath robe in our room to dry off after showering. The best part of the hotel is the privacy, but if it is raining it can be very challenging getting to and from the lobby and restaurant. The morning of check-out was a little challenging for us with rain. But we knew that going in.

It would’ve been great to have a small window to get air moving. Also, the large window/door looked out onto the main path, so we had very little privacy. Amazing hotel with fantastic views across the Isle of Skye and the surrounding sea. Modern, very “Bind villain” vibe to the main building, all the guest rooms are individual pods in the surrounding grounds. These are quite small but well done and very cosy. The food in the hotel was excellent - we had breakfast twice and a festive dinner one night, all amazing. Probably the best hotel on Skye and well worth it. Oh and all the staff were super helpful and friendly, and the bar did great cocktails. We’ll definitely be back.
