Changed ownership, so reviews VERY misleading.
Excellent reviews, so I booked in March to stay in August. This was important as I am disabled & have very little use of my hands, so someone would be available to provide access & I wouldn’t need to leave the premises for breakfast. When I arrived, no one was present/answered the phone number on the sign. Without Internet access, I called my wife & found that there was now ‘virtual’ check-in with room access via a key safe on the door; an extremely problematic process for me. In the room, I found different contact details, so I contacted them about breakfast arrangements. I received no reply, so I tried again, only to be told that the property had changed hands & was now room only. If I was aware of this, I would have cancelled my booking. The room itself was reasonably clean, but the window ledges were covered in sand & there were pieces of a child’s toy on the floor, so it hadn’t been vacuumed. The sink & splashback were covered in a mix of toothpaste & saliva & the shower gel dispenser was empty. Given the sluggish response to my earlier emails, I cleaned these myself/used my own toiletries. The room was adequate, but not as clean as the reviews suggest, with no on-site ‘customer service’, so the property is not disabled-friendly. Given that the reviews I booked this stay on related to the previous owners, & no one told me that it had changed hands, I was clearly mis-sold this booking. Be aware that the property is now available on a room-only basis
