Peaceful gem

This place is awesome! Peaceful and quiet. Friendly and helpful service. Amazing breakfast on real plates with real silverware. Only paper was a nice napkin and to go coffee cup if needed, but real coffee cups for dine in. Dinning area overlooks the creek. This place is a gem and we will definitely come back.

Wonderful Little Inn

Wonderful little Inn with a great view of the river. Miss Betty was very helpful and made a good breakfast. Very willing to be helpful and allowed us to park our car there while we hiked a portion of the AT. Would definitely stay here again.

Small Town Charm with Big City Amenities

We took a last minute trip to N East Tennessee. Looked at Hotels.com for somewhere to stay. Didn’t want to stay at the local chains. Damascus Old Mill Inn came very highly recommended by the reviews and rating. This hotel did not disappoint! It is comfortable, clean, has all the amenities you need and was beautifully situated on the creek with flowing water. We were upgraded to a creek front room. The check in staff walked us to our room, made sure we had what we needed before leaving. And in the morning, we had a wonderful breakfast made by the sweetest lady. She was so kind and friendly; it started our morning off right! It is very popular in the summer due to the Appalachian Trail that runs through town. And the old Creeper Trail that runs up the mountain. Would highly recommend! There is a bar and restaurant also onsite at the facility. Thanks for making our last minute getaway so relaxing! We will definitely be back!

This is a unique property in the mountains next to a mill stream, complete with a waterfall view from multiple areas of the property. It is a 100 year old Inn. The staff are all wonderfully helpful, accommodating, and friendly. What a treat to find such a delightful place open in the winter nested in the mountains.

Cute, comfy, and peaceful

Ms. Betty is wonderful! I arrived late because I was driving all day, and she was very helpful in getting me checked in late, and making sure that I had a nice breakfast before getting back on the road the next day. The waterfall view was calming and a nice break from an otherwise stressful couple days of driving. I hope to come back in the future with time to properly enjoy myself and explore the area.

Perfection

Front desk personnel were amazingly welcoming and worked with us to get the best room for our needs. The room was spacious and comfortable with a deck overlooking the river. Breakfast buffet was beautifully accoutered and so delicious. Highly recommend this hotel.

Virginia Creeper Overnight Stay

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Old Mill. The location is perfect for all activities in Damascus. Very walkable to downtown. The room was impeccably clean. The beds were comfortable with quality bedding. I would stay here again.

Wonderful inn, aboout the cleanest i have experienced. Great friendly helpful polite staff.the surrounding is also wonderfully the river runs right in the back ,ducks geese. So peaceful quit atmosphere. You can sit outide and have dinner or drinks,, coffee .or what ever you like .the rooms are very decorated clean and comfortable. Breakfast was all you could ask for .i never had any better even at the more expensive motels was is not as nice as the Old Miol inn.Just off I-81 east Exit 19 turn right and About 7 miles down to the inn .Its in Damascus Virginia .avery small community.theres a park just across the parking area also for walking picnic or what ever you desire .We will definitely stay again .

I called about late check in and when we arrived no one was there. We walked all around the property and it was completely locked up. Walked into several cobwebs. Looked in windows and tables were not very nice. Looked abandoned. Phone was never answered.

What a lovely setting! We had dinner at their restaurant on site overlooking the mill stream! The room accommodations were nicely appointed and very comfortable. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return there again to visit more of the shops in the town and surrounding areas.
