Beautiful place BUT Average / below average quality food - just like any secrets resorts. If you travel a lot in higher end resorts, you know you go to Secrets because of the beautiful landscapes and resort vibe overall, but not the food. Be very careful the fish and some of the meats. Boyfriend and I both got sick from the Japanese restaurant (like throwing up the food kind of sick). This is the second time this happens at a Secrets resort- same thing happened at Secrets Akumal a couple of years back. The place is absolutely beautiful though- many options for pools and walks and beach and activities if you want to be entertained. The resort is big and fun to walk through at night, total beach jungle luxury vibe. Great place for photos too. The resort lacks bathrooms!! We were very surprised most bathroom locations had one single stall only and not easy to get to from the main pool / beach. There was always a line. We booked a regular room and ended up upgrading to ocean front to be closer to the beach - it was worth the access they give you to their upgraded services for the quieter pool and lounge, so if you are into more of a chill/ not loud music vibe, the upgrade is worth it. Service is also average- other resorts are more attentive to help with towels or get you drinks service when you go to the pool / beach and sit down or are looking for a place. Property was beautiful. Service was great. Our concierge Manny was extremely helpful in making sure we had what we needed and even went out of his way to help us get a Bluetooth speaker. Everything was clean. Would definitely recommend for a romantic getaway.

Incredible time, staff were so professional and kind, never had to wait around for anything. Preferred club was well worth it. Premium liquor, amazing restaurants, beach was lovely although super windy while we were there so swimming was touch and go. 10/10 nothing to improve on!!!

Our 4 night honeymoon stay here was fantastic. We were able to try every restaurant, bar and amenity. The view from our room was gorgeous! It was well worth the trip! Demetrio and Aleandro were spectacular at the manatee swim up bar. Celeste was a fun host from the entertainment team! 10/10 would stay here again!

Secrets Playa Blanca is truly a gem. This hotel is aesthetically one of the most beautiful properties I have seen on Mexico’s Eastern coastline. The trip started off shaky with problems at check-in, but everything thereafter was nearly perfect. The grounds, rooms, pools, and beach were all absolutely stunning. The service was excellent. The personal butlers (Eddy and Ana) were incredible and would fulfill any requests without hesitation, I had read previously that the butlers weren’t worth the preferred club upgrade, but I disagree. The staff at this hotel are fantastic. They go out of their way to ensure you are having an amazing vacation. Aside from the butlers, I want to thank Omar from the preferred club, as well as Francisco and Cesar at the Jungle pool. Also our housekeeper Areyl who was so wonderful. The spa was also heavenly, both in the environment and the services. The only major area that could use some improvement is the food. But all in all the food was pretty good for an all-inclusive property. It’s just with everything else from the facilities to the service being so elevated and luxurious, despite attempts, the food doesn’t quite match up. That was fairly minor though and I love this resort and cannot wait to plan my next stay! Thank you Secrets Playa Blanca!

🌴💍 I came for a wedding and fell head over heels for Secrets Playa Blanca! This resort isn't just a destination - it's a total vibe that captured my heart from day one. Nestled in lush greenery, these private sanctuaries are luxury personified. Private pools that feel like your personal paradise - even as a wedding guest, I was living my best life. Full bottle service is a game-changer. Premium spirits delivered directly to cabana - because wedding celebrations should never stop, right? Extra, but TOTALLY worth it. The food? Absolute culinary magic. Some dishes were so delicious but not every meal was perfect. While many were incredible, a few left me wanting more. I enjoyed the sunset views, intimate dining experiences, and staff who treat you like royalty. Would I come back? In a heartbeat but with a romantic partner. Until then? I'll keep those wedding memories alive.

Great resort. Butler service was great, ask for Daniel. He did a great job with any reservations or assistance by the beach. Reuben at the beach was also great for food & drinks. The hydrotherapy is definitely time well spent, food was hit or miss, as with all All-inclusives. Great facility, looks brand new and incredibly clean!
