Great job from Loeki(manager). Beautiful place to stay nearby Willamsted. We particully loved the swimming pool/the flamingos lake(nearby)/the big table outside where we ate breakfast(good food from Loeki)/ and the front aera where to see the sunset. Absolutely amazing stay at Plantation Jan Thiel lodge. The lodge has so much character and is located in a beautiful setting. If I could give a Michelin star to Loeki, I would — the breakfasts were out of this world made with fresh local Ingredients and or so flavourful and healthy. All the staff were courteous and very nice.

We had a wonderful time staying here, the property was nice and spacious and clean. It has access via a trail to walk down to the salt flats and see the flamingos. The hostess was wonderful and very nice making us a delicious breakfast every morning, as well as giving us great ideas and tips on where to go.

Spectacular stay! Loeki is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. This is more of a B&B experience. Grounds are impeccable and room was clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the double room on the main floor. Room was on the small side, even for a couple, so next time I would stay on the second floor. There’s a bit more privacy on the second floor as well. There’s a communal fridge and kitchen which you are welcome to use. Coffee, homemade artisan teas, and cold water(fruit infused or plain) is available at any time. The house dogs are well behaved and a joy to be around - you need to be comfortable with animals. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Loeki was easily able to accommodate a gluten- free diet. You’re a short 7 min drive from Jam Thiel beach and many others within 15 min. Close to Willemstad but still in nature, right next to the salt pans - beautiful trails you can easily access from the property. I cannot say enough great things about Plantation Jan Thiel! It’s important to note that it’s a country chic place so go with that expectation. We loved it and hope to return again soon!

Lugar incrível, super tranquilo e agradável! Atendimento maravilhoso pela Loeki, sempre disposta a ajudar e indicar lugares bacanas! Recomendo para viagens familiares e de casal. O hotel da “direito” a praia muito boa de Jan Theil de graça. A localização é muito boa, com alguns comércios próximos (de carro) e depois de visitar todas as praias do norte da ilha, ainda indico ficar nessa região.

Fantastic and can’t wait to go back. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The entire property is unique and a little paradise on paradise. We liked watching the sunset from the main house patio area. We stayed in the little cottage we’re so comfortable and loved the private pool and outdoor shower. We liked talking with the other guests from all over the world over breakfast and sharing island experiences. It is a very peaceful and quiet place with house animals as an extra bonus.
