Disappointing customer service

Wonderful room and great location. Easy to enter and overall a good first impression. No view from the balcony. Fully equipped kitchen. We were staying one night. 8 AM all power shut off. 9 AM we wrote them through the app to ask what was happening, got an immediate response that the city had cut the power. We asked if we could check out later, since it was not possible to make coffee or even take a shower, no light on the bathroom etc.. They simply didn’t respond at all. A disappointing way to leave an otherwise good experience.

The stay was nice and spacious. A nice accommodation. It was walkable for my husband and I, situated in a corner of a high traffic street (it was close to everything, but a nice spot where it wasn't too loud at night). The app was very convenient. My only one concern was answered within a couple hours.

The room was perfect. It’s in a great location near Notre Dame but off on a quiet side street. Additionally the customer service was fantastic. I ended up having to book an extra night and they lined up the reservations perfectly so we didn’t have to check back out and in.

Spacious, good location, no on-site staff

Great location. Tons of cool shops within walking distance. It’s an apartment/hotel - so there’s no staff on-site. You check in with a code only when it’s time to check-in. If you want extra towels you have to download an app and chat with them and put in a request or send them an email. I needed more towels and asked in the evening. We never received them - we wanted them for the morning. You have to request them 24 hours before you need them.

Right in the middle of the tourist sites

Perfect spot for a couple to stay. Right in the middle of Old Port Montreal, easy walking distance to most of the main tourist attractions. Nice interior.

Not fulfilling

GPS put me on a different street. I called the property which has a Massachusetts phone number, 617, but clearly I was speaking to someone in Sri Lanka or India. Her accent was heavy and I was put on hold for 8 minutes. All I wanted was to speak to a front desk or property management person/someone local in Montreal. Impossible to do. She provided me an address different than the GPS address from their website. I went to that new address and still was not at the right address. Part of the issue, I believe, is tall buildings and GPS google maps has it issues with accuracy. Second phone call and another 8 minutes on hold with someone not local and a Marriott representative. After speaking to two different shopkeepers and two phone representatives, I finally found the property. Total frustration. The location and property were very good but lack of communication and speaking to no one local leaves me speechless and reconsidering future vacation rentals.

Great Find in Old Montreal

This is a great hotel! I trusted it by the name of Marriott, but still didn't know what to expect. It was exactly what we needed. Sonder provides you all the details to access the building before you arrive and it is super easy instructions to follow. The room is like a studio apartment, but with an excellent layout. The bathroom is a little tight, but honestly- it's fine. The bed is comfortable and the property is very clean. Two different storage options and it feels very secure. We faced the street and were given earbuds, but we didn't need them and there was plenty of natural light during the day. The apartment is also within walking to distance to a great coffee shop and the Basilica- literally around the corner. It's located in Old Montreal and you are also within walking to distance to some cute shops and LOTS of restaurants. Our first uber driver didn't really know how to find it for drop off, but we didn't have a problem getting picked up in front of the building. I would absolutely stay here again.

Was not able to access the room. Tried calling, sending messages etc but did not receive any access codes or method of entry until 10:30 pm. Completely unacceptable. 2 different service agents were unhelpful and disconnected the calls..
