The room was comfortable and spacious. The beds were very hard. The lack of window in the basement rooms was not a problem with the lighting and skylight. However the corridor noise was disturbing, the cleaning staff made way too much noise outside our room in the morning. The included breakfast was mediocre, some great and some not too great food. All in all it was perfectly adequate for the price.

Really friendly, welcoming staff and clean, comfortable rooms, and of course, you can’t go wrong with a free breakfast. The only con was that we paid for a room with a window, but there was no view as it was frosted glass but not a huge issue. The location was really handy for us, as we weren’t far from Old Street tube station and meant we could get the Northern Line to the places we needed (O2 Academy Islington, Camden and Kings Cross). There is also a couple of good pubs and fast food places within walking distance of the hotel, plus a Sainsbury’s and a corner shop to grab some drinks/snacks/toiletries to take back to the room. Overall, would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall the experience was fine. Check in was good and the staff were friendly. However, there were quite a lot of small mini flies that seemed to be abundant in both the room I was in (and seemingly the wider 1st floor), and my neighbours with the connecting door were making some considerable noise at around 6AM which was just quite annoying. The hotel is fine, I’ve just had much better experiences.

The hotel breakfast arrangements are confusing making people wonder around the breakfast buffet. For the room price - I find that the breakfast is very basic and the consistency of the scrambled eggs is horrible! Otherwise very nice and clean place to stay and close to public transport.
