Heartfelt thanks to Ahmed Bayomy and his team for taking care of every detail of my journey.
At 3 a.m., after a delayed flight, they were there to pick me up, welcoming me with a perfectly organized suite… and a direct view of the pyramids.
This hotel is not part of a commercial chain.
It is an authentic space that invites you to experience the human essence of a true Egyptian community, far from tourist stereotypes.
Here you don’t come to find the comforts of home or your familiar dishes; you come to open yourself to local life, to embrace simplicity and reality.
Each morning, instead of city noise, I listened to the sound of horses trotting past my window a rhythm of life you rarely experience in Europe or the West.
Each sunrise, I found my space to meditate and practice yoga facing the ancient pyramids.
I traveled alone as a woman, and at all times I felt safe, respected, and warmly cared for.
And to close with magic: an afternoon facing the pyramids… where even Ahmed ended up singing!
