Perfect place to stay for cedar point trip!! Comfy clean quiet room. Had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker with pods. Easy virtual check in and out. My one and only con was the was no chairs. A few folding chairs would have been great. Otherwise awesome little place, will definitely stay again.

Overall a great stay here and I thought value was there for the price I paid and what we needed it for. Stayed in a family suite for 3 nights with my 3 teenage kids so we could go to Cedar Point and we were all comfortable. Beds comfy and clean. Could maybe use a little more attention to detail — we were in room 29 and the vanity holding the sink is not level, for example. Not a huge deal though. Staff was very attentive to needs, everyone friendly and helpful!

We arrived after dark. There is no staff on site. I wasn't watching my email while on the road, so didn't see an email explaining that there is an online check-in process that requires some time for pre-registration before getting a code for the door. I found a phone number listed on a sign at the motel. The phone representative was very helpful, expedited the process and sent us a text with the door code. The room was a very good value - simple but clean and nicely decorated in a retro theme. Online checkout was easy.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is clean, cozy, and perfectly located just a quick drive from Cedar Point. Our room had everything we needed — a charming vintage fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of toiletries.The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the whole place felt well taken care of. I was beyond impressed with the cleanliness of this property! It’s probably the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Check in was all remote and the doors had a code to get in, which was so much easier than trying to keep ahold of a key. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was great. Even the toiletries that were provided exceeded my expectations. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We had a great stay at Explorer Rest & Recreation! The location is incredibly convenient if you’re visiting Cedar Point—just off the peninsula and an easy jumping-off point for everything in the area. Our room was surprisingly spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was honestly next level. The linens felt incredibly high quality and luxurious—definitely one of those little details that made the stay feel much nicer than expected. One important thing for future travelers to know is that there is no staff physically onsite. Everything is managed virtually. This wasn’t a problem for us at all and the process worked well, but it’s worth mentioning for anyone who prefers having a traditional front desk or someone physically available at the property. Overall, we were really impressed. Spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully done, and perfectly located for a Cedar Point trip. And seriously—the bedding alone deserves a shoutout!

The room was so cute and perfect for our family. It was so close to cedar point and that was a major plus! The one thing that was a struggle was the size of the sink and vanity. It was very small making it hard to wash and dry bottles at the end of the night. It all worked out but just took a balancing act. Also the floor seemed dirty and we did not wear our shoes on it. We wouldn't let our 11 month old crawl around at all. But overall the hotel and room met all our needs!

Nice what they’ve done with an old motel. I would suggest adding a trash can to the room other than the small one in the bathroom and water to the vending machine area only pop was available and we’re not pop drinkers. Checkin was easy and the staff was great.

Good location. Close to Cedar Point. We had a problem with the water heater, but they fixed it right away. The family suite with multiple beds was spacious enough for five people. The only complaint is there is no storage and no table to eat on. Hopefully they will add those as they continue to update the property.

The cabin was great, very accessible and convenient. Having a dog, being able to park right in front of the room was wonderful. The decor was charming, loved the colors! The creativity was impressive. The only issue I had was road noise. It didn’t bother me but it triggered my dog’s anxiety, which truthfully, doesn’t take much. Also, very much appreciated the access to ice water in the lobby. It was a great stop before hitting the road again!

The room was very clean, the bed was really comfortable. The back outside area looked inviting with the games and fire pits, but we didn't have time to utilize it. The multiple trains passing through the night was not helpful but you guys can't control that. We had a regular king room and it would be nice to have some sort of stand or table to sit things on other than the bed or the floor.

Everything was great, except the amount of bugs from outside that would fly in. When the rooms are being cleaned they leave the doors open, this allows bugs to fly in. We were very carful not to leave the doors open, there were still several on our walls. There was also an odor that didn’t smell great.

10's across the board. I stayed here for a few nights on our trip to Cedar Point and honestly I can't imagine going anywhere else on future visits. To begin, this location is a 6-minute drive from the park. The room was very reasonably priced, clean, and contain pretty much everything you will need including a blow dryer, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and a clothes steamer. That bed was comfortable but did have some sort of polyester sheets which as a hot sleeper kept me a little warmer than I would have liked. When I decided to extend my stay by one night, Omar was extremely helpful and made the whole process a breeze. Give this man a raise. I will be back.
