Susan, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice hotel, traditional in its room style but the bar and spa were really nice
Nick, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Fabulous stay - as it was Christmas Eve - menu was limited with only one starter and mainly chicken & pizza for a main. Staff very helpful & accommodating. Would definitely stay there again at another time of the year.
Joel, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Desperately in need of refurb, room was unbearably warm, dripping shower into bath all night, Tv had limited channels due to poor signal and the breakfast was appalling.
Nick, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I'm so sorry to say it was awful If I could have gone somewhere else I would have ....... Staff were lovely and very helpful just a very old tired building rooms need revamping and the room did not feel clean
Carole, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Requires updated mattresses not up to a good standard place is way over priced for what they offer. They have small flat screen tvs but asking premium prices
PAUL, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Could not use all the spa like I was told and rooms was not that clean and breakfast was not ready on the tow days I stay there will never stay again
John, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Exceeded expectations

Fantastic stay albeit short. Reception very helpful, grounds and hotel are stunning with parking on site. The room was large, luxurious and the bed was just dreamy. Despite the large number of guests eating, breakfast was very good and didn’t feel too busy. Overall, a luxurious stay even we didn’t use the gym, pool, spa or golf facilities. Great value for money. We stayed in a far worse hotel the night before with no facilities and not a patch on Oulton Hall, for only €10 less, showing the outstanding value for money at Oulton.
Tony, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

1 night stay.

Lovely public areas, reception and bar. Corridors to rooms looking a bit tired, old looking carpets and doors. Bedroom was quite nice, a good size, with a separate sofa, but the bathroom was very tired looking, rusty towel rail, piece missing on edge of shelf and silicone over bath tiles needs redoing (black spots). Shower was very powerful and refreshing. Bedding and towels nice and clean. Inside the bedside lamp had been missed when cleaning. Overall felt like it might have been ready for a bit of a refresh.

10/10 Exceptional

Everything was perfect and the staff were very helpful and very welcoming I’d definitely stay there again me and my partner absolutely loved our stay and the spa was incredible
Zara, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Access to the spa wasn’t included even though the hotel uses this as the primary sales pitch on the website. It would have been an additional £60 which would have been 4 star territory!
Frankie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Plenty of parking, nice restaurant and bar.
Paul, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Decor was poor in general, damaged paint, walls & bedroom with wallpaper on the ceiling peeling. Hallway carpets well past their best. Staff were friendly & helpful, exterior looked alot better thsn tge inside.
Keith, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very, outdated, 1st room was extremely noisy as it was next to the kitchen extraction units and the room smelt greasy which would lingered for days however I was moved room Uon request. Staff cleaning furniture with scrapers whilst guests chatting & eating. Facilities were chargeable not included as stated when booking so did not use. Ample parking but Would not stay again.
Miss Emma, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The rooms are old, the floor in our room creaked wherever you put your foot, the TV in the room was so tiny they shouldn't have bothered, the bath was dirty and the staff in the spa area were unmotivated and didn't care about customer service presumably because of the pressure that they are under from the new owners to upsell everything. The spa area was clean but only available to hotel guests from 7-9am.
Jacqueline, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice room
Sohail, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Comfortable room.

Overnight stay, comfy bed, nice size room with en-suite, kettle for hot drinks, room temperature okay, free parking. Would have liked a swim/sauna but spa area was too expensive just for that, £20 pp.
Joanna, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Misleading on facilities

While the are friendly and polite this was possibly the only upside of this hotel. It advertises pool and hot tub but what it don’t tell it’s only free to use between 7-9am all other times £40 The rooms are very dated and paper thin walls
Jon-Paul, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice location with great staff next to a country park. Bed and spa facilities were the highlight. But some areas of hotel were outdated and it was a long walk from lift to room on second floor.
Mumuna, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

We booked as it was close to an event we were attending in the nearby town. We arrived early, was told our room was ready, but if we wanted to drop our bags in there, we’d have to pay £25 for that privilege! No air conditioning in room or fridge or bottled water, wallpaper on ceiling was split. Breakfast was reasonably priced and plentiful but ‘hot’ foods were cold, and they seemed understaffed as there was always something missing. Can only give 5/10!
Howard, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Lovely staff
David, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

From the outside the hotel is lovely but they appear to have spent the majority of money on this only. Inside is outdated. It did its job for the night but would not return
Greg, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I enjoyed my stay apart from the noise under my window (208) We had to keep the windows open because of the heat but sometimes couldnt hold a conversation
