Beautiful place, noisy

Very friendly staff, and always willing to help. Beautiful enviroment with pools, flowers and green everywhere. Beach short walking distance away and always beachchairs available. Many restaurants to choose from (for breakfast too). Only problem was the non-existing soundproofing in the rooms. Although otherwise nice, the apartment was basicly a wooden box. You could hear everything from outside like walking and normal talking, but also from the room above you and beside you. And I mean everything. It didnt help, that there were people going to beach party and coming in hammered at 3am. Jumpscared me awake few nights. Also loud talking even from balcony from building next door sounded like they were in the same room with us. So, the place looked and felt like right out of postcard, but peacefull it was not.

This was the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The luxury suites was top tier. Everyone was so nice and friendly too. My favorite was the private pool. I wish I could stay forever!

Foi muito boa nossa estadia no Kontiki. Atendentes muito atenciosos, quarto excelente. Pontos a melhorar apenas a cama casal com dois colchões solteiro e o chuveiro que para ser morno, a pressão da água fica bem baixa. Mas de fato não foi algo que impacte significativamente a avaliação.

The resort grounds and restaurants were beautiful and very well kept. It had such a relaxed vibe and lots of character all throughout the resort. We enjoyed our stay very much. The main issue that we had was that the room itself was not as clean and well kept as the rest of the resort. It seems to be lacking the deep cleaning that should be done in addition to the regular housekeeping. The floor in our room was vinyl and it felt dirty and gross. The floors need an upgrade. It would be much nicer if the room had tile or wood floors. I did not like walking on them in my bare feet. I can only speak for the room we stayed in. The newer luxury buildings may be much more clean. As for the restaurants, we preferred to eat right next door at the restaurants at Mambo Beach. The resort restaurants were overpriced. Also, the communication at the resort was lacking. The front desk wasn’t very helpful or engaged with guests. It would have helped if they had guest services or guest relations staff mingling with guests regularly.

My husband and I really loved the resort and all of the activities. The staff was extremely attentive and always on call when we needed them. Our only complaint was the noise from the construction crew that started at around 8:45 to 9:00 at night. I guess they were preparing for the event the followig evening, which was fun by the way. I think guest should be warned before hand and given the option to stay or be placed in another room. Once again, it was not the beach party that was annoying, it was the construction that occurred late in the evening the night before. However once we made staff aware that this is not what we expected, they moved us to another room. It was a bit of a hassle to have to get our things together after 10 pm (yes the construction was still gping on)and move to another room away from the noise. However we did appreciate them giving us the opportunity to move to a different location. One other thing, we could never get the patio door to lock in the first room after three tries wirh maintenace. Hopefully you guys were able to get that fixed for the next guest. If it not for those two things I would've given my overall experience 5 stars.

We had an amazing time at Kontiki. The room was clean and modern, the food was very good, the service could be a little faster but in all honesty, we are in the Caribbean, enjoy the layback atmosphere. Personally, we all lived the resort and will be returning with the entire family. They are amazing, and I suggest everyone visit the Kontiki...

This was a wonderful place to stay. Even though on the first day we had ants in our bathroom and very low water pressure from the shower, the kontiki team resolved the situations and made our stay awesome! We loved the beach and being so close to mambo boulevard. The resort was in a perfect location and the pools were beautiful.

The pictures of this facility is not the same as in person. The smell of sewer throughout, you pay for everything literally. We paid for our transportation there and they accused us of not paying. They were trying to keep my deposit. I have traveled many places , this by far is the worse.
