My husband and I enjoyed our 2-night stay in one of the smaller suites on the top floor of the hotel. It was quiet, clean, and the bed was firm and comfortable. The building itself has aged, but the room was clean and had good A/C units—I do love a cold room! The hotel is just a short drive to downtown Barrie as well as other nearby areas with plenty of good restaurants and cafes. I would not recommend walking in the area as it isn’t particularly pedestrian-friendly, but you certainly could if you so desired. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, we ended up upgrading to a whirlpool tub room. Upgrading was very easy. Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Parking is good, lots of room. A/C worked great. Our only issue is the whirlpool tub didn't work the way it was supposed to. Breakfast (continental) consisted of breads, English muffins, Bagels, yogurt, porridge, cereal, coffee, tea and juice. You can "UPGRADE" your breakfast for $8.00 extra to get eggs and a meat option. Pool was good and warm.
