We noticed on arrival how the lobby was inviting. Water available, current magazines highlighting the Camarillo area. A one-page local event sheet. Cheerful note on a chalkboard. Fresh arranged flowers at the front desk. The attention to details. Little things totally missing from other hotels.
Great location right in the center of Old Town. Walked to the Farmers market on Saturday. Our room was fine for a couple. Liked the bedspread and our clean room!

Check-in was quick and easy. Kind, thoughtful & helpful woman.
Room was small but nice. Only issue that evening at around 9:30 was a very methodical constant tapping for abt 30 minutes. Like someone was nailing. then again in morning for abt 5 minutes. Around 11:30pm someone was beating on a door to get into their room, that startled us & woke us from a dead sleep. Only mentioning these so that they can be looked into.

I like being in the historic downtown and we could walk to restaurants and shops. The hotel was just ok. Could hear everything in the room next door, pillows were hard, and no hot water at 5:30 am the day of checkout.

Cleanliness is always my top priority and I give a full five stars for that. There's nothing fancy about the motel. Thing I didn't like was how hard the beds are but some people like that. Also the air conditioner has an option to have a running fan all night which is a huge plus to me. The thing I loved about the hotel the most was its location. Super quiet as well because the street in front is not the kind of street that people can race down in the middle of the night. Really good food options around as well.

Do not stay here if you have a service dog. I was waiting in my friend’s ( who was visiting from New Zealand ) room till my room was ready with my service dog. An employee of the hotel came and knocked on the door, he said I couldn’t have my dog on the second floor, I stated she is a service dog. He proceeded to ask about my disability as well as what service does she provides. Which is illegal under the ADA. He then said I had to register the dog with the front desk also not required under the ADA. So I decided not to stay at that hotel. He was so rude! I decided to drive back to San Diego. He also looked like he was on drugs.

Expedia messed up and over-booked me a room that wasn’t available. I can’t comment on the property since Expedia messed up.

Nice little hotel. Clean and well kept property. Parking is limited on site but there is street parking. The office is not manned overnight but there is a number to get a hold of someone. If you are bigger than average, in size, this may not be the place for you. Tiny bathroom...what I call a one butt space...two butts would be cheek to cheek space. I like being able to walk to the little downtown area. It is close to the freeway, but not so close that you can hear the traffic. Would not recommend this for wheelchair bound people, but it would be doable.

The property is located on the main street in the middle of town with ample free parking. Outside the facility was, for the most part, quiet, with a choice of several nice restaurants within easy walking distance (1-3 blocks). Staff were helpful and courteous.
We had 2 of the worst nights I've ever experienced in a hotel. We were woken up both nights at 3:00am by a repetitive loud noise which we could not identify. The second day we explored the 2nd floor and found a room directly over our room with about 8 washing machines. On the first floor right next to our room we also found a small room with about 4 washing machines. It was obvious that someone was doing loads of wash from 3:00am - 6:00am. I complained to the front office about allowing people to use the washing machines past 8:00pm and the person indicated that they lock the door at that time and did not know how someone could use the washing machines. I suggested that it might have been a staff person as the hotel does all their own washing of linens and towels. She was very polite, apologized and indicated that she would investigate. In further looking around, there was another room located in the check-in office with about 20 washing machines. There was also a maintenance worker who started working at 7:00am in the bathroom of the room on the other side of us that was also very annoying. City workers started at 7:00am also cleaning the main street and sidewalks with extremely loud leaf blowers.
