The reception staff were professional and welcoming. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation (transformation) project, for example the existing bar and dining area are rather tired. The parking was expensive - £15 for 24 hours! We did not appreciate their cashless policy.

We booked a double room & got two beds pushed together..!! The air conditioning wasnt working properly. Room too hot even though we turned the air conditioning down it reverted back. Friends of ours had a room on the next floor & they had the same problem with the air conditioning! Clearly the air conditioning wasnt working properly. The room only provided one pillow each for the beds . You would expect to find additional pillows if required. None in the room. Took a photo & showed the receptionist, only half a flush button on the toilet half broken off...!! We realise the hotel is under refurbishment but surely you wouldnt expect have these issues..! Put off of using another Ibis hotel.

Staff were all brilliant, a bit of building work going on but didn't affect us. Only negative things were that there was no information in the room on how to control the heating and there were no extra pillows in the room.

Amenites, staff and cleanliness stood out. Even the contractors on sight were tidy making no mess I found the room rather cramped, doesn't need to settee in there, but I had a good night's rest. Someone ate all the fried breakfast

Room was very tidy and relatively comfortable. The staff were courteous enough, but could do with learning how to smile every now and again. The breakfasts were average at best, and the evening meals were well overpriced for what you were served. Steak pie with a blob of mashed potato and a ramekin of congealed " gravy " for just shy of £17 ?. No veg. Just one small pie a small blob of mash and a blob of gloopy gravy. I won't be staying again.
