The hotel was a good stay. My daughter and mother thought the room a damp odor to it.
The place was quiet and the breakfast was what I have come to expect from the Holiday Inn chain, of hotels.

I was placed in a room that needed repairs, the covers were stained and there were ants. When calling down to the front desk I was asked to bring the cover down because they were short staffed and told they could do nothing for me because they were completely booked AND because I booked the room on Expedia. The next day in the morning I asked if there were any rooms available and was finally placed in another room for the night which was much better.

The highlights of the stay was your team, they had excellent customer service skills.
The hotel did not match the photo that is on your reservation site(it shows a new 4 story building, and this is actually a 3 story older one)

Michelle was awesome and seems like the whole staff provided great customer service highly recommend
I was attempted to be charged a $200 incidentals fee because my address was in neighboring WV. The fee was waived but that is ridiculous. No other hotel have i stayed at locally charges any such thing. Not even in WV, i checked as a follow-up. The bathroom was not cmvery satisfactory luckily i come with my own cleaning supplies. There was a stain on the shower curtain as well as the tub. But if your just staying for a day or two your fine. The staff was pleasant.

There is a 200.00 incidental deposit for locals!
The hotel was very clean and mostly modern. The bathroom could use an update and replace the old tub with a low threshold shower. The staff was very friendly. I did not like being told I had to pay a 200.00 incidental deposit upon check in. This was not disclosed on the website when I booked. And I was told it was because I lived within 80 miles of the hotel. This is unacceptable and deceptive. This needs to be disclosed on the booking sites like Hotels.cim etc. If I would have known of that charge at the time I biike. I would not have booked thia hotel. They said it would be re
released the 200.00 back to my card within 5 business days. As consumers we have a right to the amount off these fees at time of booking. I will be contacting the BBB. I was told it's becauae the local people make messes. That is discrimination.

They steal from disabled veterans
Absolutely disgusting pit ran by thieving hillbillies. Dirty room, trash in hallways, NO HOT WATER the ENTIRE time we were there, water leaking heavily from ceiling tiles in the hallway, hotel filled with dirty construction workers partying all night. Worst of all: I’m a 100% disabled veteran traveling with my service animal as I have been for over a decade with no issue. When checking in it clearly states I’m disabled with an animal on my reservation and I informed the front desk upon check in. The surly trashy old lady at the front desk was clearly not paying attention to me just joking with a bunch of dirty workers and didn’t care what I said. After checking out they charged me an ADDITIONAL $75 on top of the already ridiculously overpriced room rate of $129 because of a “pet fee”. When I called to ask why I was charged when traveling with my service animal, the disgusting old woman who checked me accused me of having a fake service animal and lying about being a disabled veteran then hung up on me!!!!! Never in ten years of staying at 100s of hotels with my service animal as a disabled Iraqi war veteran have I ever been treated this way. Luckily I was able to contact Holiday Inn Express corporate complaint department to lodge a formal complaint and was informed they’d be launching an investigation into the disgusting witch of a front desk manager for her horrible actions. Oh and this one horse town has literally NOTHING to eat!
