Perfect spot to be. Easy walk to the duomo and to the train station; you can park or get easily picked-up for excursions without the headache of the "no enter zone" for cars. Safe, quiet but really close to restaurants and night life, if you wish so. We will be back, because it's really the perfect spot to stay and our host has been fantastic! Thank you Francesco for the lovely accommodation and all your help! Ciao

Bodde under fyra nätter. Lägenheten var centralt och nära till restauranger, livsmedelsaffär. och sevärdheter. Mycket bra säng, fint kök och rymlig lägenhet. Dock var köksutrustningen något bristfällig. Francesco var hjälpsam.

Fint rom sentralt i LECCE og kort avstand fra jernbanestasjonen . Meget hyggelig vert. Litt spesielt innsjekkingssystem, men da jeg forstod det gikk det meget lett. Kun kaldt vann i dusj andre morgen.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Corte. Situated perfectly at the edge of the historical centre, meaning an easy walk to the sights, restaurants and bars of the city, whilst also keeping a quiet atmosphere to rest in. Francesco was a fabulous host, bringing us sweets every morning for breakfast & giving advice on the city and things to do in the area. Very communicative over WhatsApp which helped the language barrier! Apartment is clean and very comfortable stay. Having access to cooking facilities is useful. Parking was further out than expected - about a 7 minute walk from the B&B, but we were able to find a space every time and it appeared many others were doing the same thing, and we had no issues with the car.

Our host, Francis (Francesco) was amazing. He made sure we got settled in properly even though he was at the beach with his mother and son. (Thank goodness for WhatsApp video calling.) He brought a different assortment of fresh local pastries to our door each morning and sent a message as soon as he hung the bag over our doorknob. Francesco showed us where to hang our laundry to dry, and it turns out that he hangs out the laundry on the roof each day himself. He's a real hands-on owner. The property was conveniently located close to the train station and was on the edge of Old Town, so it was perfect for us because we walk everywhere. Francesco also sent us all kinds of dining and shopping information well before we arrived, as well as detailed instructions for getting to the property from the train station (straight down the street). He is a warm, genuine person and he has a beautiful place to stay. We will absolutely stay with him again if we ever return to Lecce.

Extra Special Host

Perfect central location, close to station and even closer to the stunning old town with numerous restaurants, bars & shops. Francesco was a fabulous host, delivered local pastries for our first breakfast and came back to visit us to check we were happy. He even posted me back my sunglasses which I left in the apartment. 10 out of 10, thanks F!

B&B mit italienischen Flair ohne Frühstück.

Das B&B liegt sehr schön und fußläufig am Rand der historischen Altstadt. Francesco gibt auch gute Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants etc.und hilft auch aktiv bei der Parkplatzsuche, da kein Parkplatz am Haus vorhanden ist (auch wenn er bewerben ist) und selbst die Zufahrt nur temporär erlaubt ist. Parken also nur in ca. 500m möglich, wenn man dort einen findet, ansonsten muss man bezahlen. Das Frühstück bestand aus zwei gefüllten Keksen, selbst zu kochendem Kaffee und Plasikverpackten Keksen etc. (Kein frisches Brot oder Marmelade) Ein B&B ist das also eher nicht sondern das hat AirBnB Charakter mit Selberkochen in der gemeinsamen Küche. Wenn man das vorher weiß, ist das ja ok, aber wir waren nicht auf Kochen und Frühstückzubeteitung eingestellt.

i stayed in a lovely little apartment. The owner is very helpful. You can easily walk to all the sights in the old town from here. Be aware that if you have a car you need to park a few streets away in public street parking (no cost).
