The hotel was impossible to find. There was no signage, blacked out windows and the neighbouring building had white washed windows that looked closed up. On the other side of the entrance had gates closed up with a padlock and chain with a sign saying academy. It really looked like a disused building! We drove around trying to find a car park that doesn’t exist, despite the email the day before our stay giving us parking instructions. We had to pay £30 parking at a nearby car park and walk. We booked a room with a view but the windows had a film blocking out any view. There was no soap in the room! No kettle apart from a drink station down in the lobby, which had cold water in the urn and no cups. Later in the evening a different member of staff told us of a free parking elsewhere but when we asked when we checked in, they didn’t help us. No bedside tables, very basic. We booked a twin but had to separate the beds ourselves.The mattress was full of craters where there were large dips. Booked a deluxe room but it seems that they are all just standard which we paid extra for. Not like the photos. Room was hot, unable to open windows. Only 1 pillow each and no spares. Key cards kept failing to work even though a conscious effort was made to keep it away from our phones. Seemed to have some recent decor updates but very basic and plain. Doors are very loud and bang shut so very hard to get any sleep. Great location for the arena but otherwise needs a lot of sorting Except refund!

Rubbish kept building outside reception. No signs, looked like an abandoned building.
Our room with a view was blocked with an opaque film and could not open at all for fresh air and condensation built up in the night causing water puddles on the ‘sills’

We had a disappointing experience during our stay. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, with dirty towels left behind. Parking was advertised as available for £12, but it was actually under renovation. We were not informed of this in advance. There were no proper payment options on arrival. The only way to pay was via email or text, which was not possible due to poor signal and no internet access. This should have been communicated beforehand so we could have paid in advance. The staff were unhelpful and rude. We arrived a few hours early and were told to leave and return at 4pm, despite the website stating check-in is at 3pm. Overall, the lack of communication and poor service made the stay frustrating - not worth the price paid at all.

The room spelt strongly of mould and damp. The show cubicle leaked water all over the floor. The bar was closed at 10:30 when we tried to use it rather than 11:30pm as advertised and no apology was offered room service with a tray charge of £5. The bed was comfortable.

We stay here quite often, car park onsite which is good value. Central location. Room lovely and spacious. Bed and pillows were a little hard but always bring my own pillow! Will definitely stay again.

The shower’s water pressure was really bad. Housekeeping annoyingly woke me up by knocking on my door on the day I was checking out. Surely they should have a list of people who have checked out already? Other than that it was a good stay. Good location and price.

The plug sockets were hanging off the wall and sparking … shower was broken, bed sheets with blood on, dirty black mould on bath and windows. Freezing room which took over 2 hours to warm The list goes on - I will never use this property again, it was beyond acceptable and I’m a generally very easygoing person and not that fussy but these absolutely dehumanising standards… I am stunned that Expedia even allow this on their supposed good standard website
