Wonderful spot, close to everything. Staff was very kind. Though it’s hard to find an unfriendly person in Isla. They even saved my clothing when I forgot some of it!

Ricardo at the front was welcoming and very helpful! The pools was tiny and part of the restaurant below, but we spent our time at the beach anyway! The room was very spacious and comfy.

Loved our stay!

We loved our stay at hotel Bartolome! Beautiful, light filled room, great A/C, comfy bed, friendly and thorough cleaning lady, cold fridge, and the view from our patio can not be beat! We added an extra night because we did not want to leave and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!!

An Interesting Option with a catch

Great location near ferry terminal. The room was decent and balcony offers great views of boats. However, I would say this was a Marina with restaurant and rooms. Not a hotel with marina and restaurant. The restaurant closes by 7:00, so not a dinner option. The pool is located within restaurant, so you must exit hotel to street then enter restaurant to get to pool. They don’t provide towels for pool. The food was good, but servers weren’t very welcoming. Again, they are focused on serving the marina guests. Not a deal breaker. But certainly not what I was expecting.

We enjoyed our stay

We loved our stay! It was a good location for watching all the coming and goings of the many boats and ferries visiting Isla. Staff were amazing. There is a small pool overlooking the marina. Overall it was a good place to stay for our four days on the island.

Very noisy--nice staff, clean rooms

The staff were nice and the room was very clean. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, the hotel is extremely noisy. There is loud road noise on one side in addition to music from the restaurant below. At 7:30 in the morning the fishermen were hammering at the marina, and boats were coming and going regularly. The manager was nice enough to let us move to a different room, and the noise issue was not as big a factor. In general, the area is very busy, barely a block away from the ferry. I would not choose the area again. If you want tranquility, this is not the place.

A bit concerned

Everything was perfect. Great location. Noisy at times. It was unclear if the pool was for hotel guest or anyone docking with their boat on the Marina for the day. Not very private. It seemed to be a free for all. Our biggest worry would be that there is no key or locked front entrance to the hotel during the night. Only our hotel room was locked. Front door of the hotel was always open for anyone to come in off the streets. No one was at the front lobby desk during those times. We’ve stayed on the island 5 times and we always had good double entrance security with two key entrance

Needs improvement.

Our stay was for 10 days. This was a basic hotel room not a "suite". The fridge is tiny so not very much will fit and there is only one chair vs. a couch or something more comfortable to sit on inside. A dresser would also be a welcome addition, there was barely any storage so we lived out of our suitcases for the 10 days. The wifi was brutal and kept cutting out, at night we like to wind down and ended up just watching movies we had already downloaded on our tablets vs. using the tv. The front door to access the building is never locked and it is rare to find a staff member sitting behind the desk. As well there is only one locking mechanism on the room door, so absolutely no additional security, anyone with a key could have easily come into the room unlike most suites/hotel rooms (no chain/bar or double lock). The hotel was responsive via whatsapp which was nice and the maid did a great job at keeping things fresh, although my feet were filthy from walking barefoot in the room. Knowing these things, I would not have chosen to stay here for this long. Also the only way to access the pool is to go outside and enter through the restaurant. It is right beside the restaurant and there is no restrictions on who uses the pool (lots of kids throwing things and splashing in the pool, none of them were staying at the hotel).

A must-stay for couples

Beautiful rooms and great location - right next to the ferry dock and across from gold cart rental. Each room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the sunset. The bed was big and super comfortable, and the smart TV was easy to connect to. Please note that the owners have multiple properties and are not manning the desk 24/7. You need to get into contact with them via WhatsApp, but they always replied immediately and someone was there promptly. We really enjoyed our stay and wished it was longer!

God placering ved færgen.

Perfekt placering for vores smag. Tilpas tæt på alt og “væk” fra postyr. Dejligt værelse med stor altan. Skønt at kigge ud på havet og alle bådene. Der er restaurant og meget lille pool. Et par solstole ved molen. Sengen er gigantisk - og en hård nyser. Hovedpuderne kæmpe og drøn hårde. Solen står lige på værelserne fra klokken 14. Så der er VARMT. Der er vifter på værelset. AC var lettere upraktisk lige over sengen. Der er ingen udluftning på badeværelset - så man må ha døren helt åben for at kunne holde fugten og varmen ud. Fint skab. Mikroovn og køleskab. Fin rengøring og hjælpsomt personale.
