We had a horrible experience at this “hotel”. Not because we had horrible customer service, because everything was virtual so no human interaction. The issue was the overall condition of the room and building.
First, there was no strike plate on the door, so the door did not close tight. There was a significant gap between the door and the floor making it easy for insects and whatever else to get in. This was evident by all the dead bugs that were on the floor.
Second, the window treatments were partially falling down on one side. Because there wasn’t a window shade along with the curtains, tons of light came through. There was a light outside our window that was on all night, so it felt like it was day time all night long. I think I got maybe 3 hours of sleep.
Third, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like it had no support.
Fourth, the toilet was not secured to the floor. Not safe at all.
Fifth, the outside was extremely dilapidated. The stairs are crumbling, the one elevator was not working and there were exposed power lines hanging from the ceiling outside.
Sixth, 25 cents for ice, really? I have never seen an ice “vending” machine before.
The only upside was the decor in the room, but that was overshadowed by all the other things.
Don’t trust the photos on their site. This place is a s**thole.
I should have left and demanded a refund as soon as I got there, but I was exhausted after driving 3 hours.
