Hidden gem!

Awesome hotel with a great location, within walking distance of all the things you want to do and see in New Orleans. Our room and bed were comfy. The shower was decadent. There were classic touches that created a nice ambiance.

Great price and location, but prepare for noise.

The hotel is near all the action - right on Canal/St Charles - but both of those streets have transit street cars that run on them and they are loud, along with the traffic on Canal St. The noise at night was incredible - we had to use a white noise app on our phone along with a bluetooth speaker to try to drown it out. The windows in the building are old. They need to put some caulking around the window seals to help with the noise issue. The room was large, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable, but the other furniture in the room was not super comfortable. The free breakfast (not advertised) included cereal, yogurt and packaged muffins. They have coffee 24x7, but you have to ask for it if the dispenser is empty. The hotel was very affordable. The location was excellent.

Loved staying at the Rubenstein

Hotel was secure and locked with staff present 24/7. Rooms were great and cleaned every day with new linens. Staff arranged transportation to return to airport and other venues. Only minus was the locked thermostats. Room was comfortable but a little warm for our tastes, may have been because of being on a higher floor but was only able to control the fan for the HVAC. Would stay again. Little loud at times due to the running trams but loud noises don’t really bother us living with children.

The worst stay I have ever had in a hotel .

It was horrible my room was so cold the temperature was set at 66 degrees and there was nothing you could do about it. I complained to the staff 3 times and they said they would fix it from the front desk but they didn’t. I had to sleep on the couch in my clothes all night I was miserable. The temperature didn’t start to rise until 4 am at 5:30 am it finally hit 72 degrees and at check out the staff never asked how was your stay. It was my first time in New Orleans and I didn’t like it at all. This trip was a cruise that my family and I had planned for over 9 months.

Great locale but noisy

Nicely updated hotel and great location if you want to be in the French Quarter. Also, very friendly and helpful staff. Biggest drawback is that because of its location, there is a lot of street noise. I had to move to an interior room without windows. Also, not a great hotel if you want to work (no desk or business center). "Continental breakfast" is overstated. Cheerios or bran flakes and pre-packaged muffins.

A gem of a place

What a lovely place to stay. The Rubenstein was perfectly located for all of my needs, including business meetings (purpose of my trip) and walkable access to excellent music, culture, and food. Joel also makes the most delightful Sazerac and provides excellent company behind the bar. He provided great recommendations for off the beaten path experiences that I wouldn't have otherwise encountered. Will most certainly stay here again next time I'm in NOLA!

Perfect Location

Everything was perfect from the time we checked in and until we checked out. Staff was very kind and helpful. A block away from Bourbon Street. Just far enough away so you dont here all the noise once you leave that area. Will definitely stay here again next visit.

Beautiful huge and clean room! Convenient location, walkable to lots of local sites! Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the corner! Always felt safe with keycard entry to the building as well as keycard entry to the elevator. The windows on the upper floor could use a good cleaning, extremely dirty and hard to see outside. The bathrooms need a couple more hooks and some place in the shower to put toiletries, wash cloth etc. A bit noisy at night, but certainly not the fault of the hotel. NOLA is a loud and busy city. Over all this is a beautiful hotel and I would hesitate to stay again.
