Great spot to stay at in Gatlinburg just far enough off the strip. Good base to retreat from the masses and trump superstores. Don't plan on being back in Gatlinburg ever again, but would stay here if I had to.

Very Average but good Location and Pool

The location of the chalet was walkable to the popular strip in Gatlinburg with restaurants, etc, which was nice because parking is expensive in town. The pool and chairs are nice, though there were generally no clean pool towels available despite a not busy pool. The cleanliness of the room was great, but it desperately needs to be updated inside and smelled quite bad.

Chalet Don’t!!

We killed a roach. Toilet had hair in it so didn’t feel like it was clean. Room was dusty like hadn’t been used in a while. Sheets had stains on them.

Don't stay at the Fabulous Chalet Inn

I booked this hotel because it was labeled as pet friendly on the site hotels.com. When i get here i was told that dogs are not allowed but they would allow my dog to stay as long as i didn't leave him in the room alone. There were several dogs in the hotel on big one next to my room that barked every time i left the room. Then the people upstairs kept either moving furniture around all night or they were bowling.

I’ve stayed here before and hope to get back again . A very nice , older but renovated , Alpine village type hotel just a short walk from town . Very reasonably priced with a nice morning view .

Easy pass next time

Stayed in room 202. This place was just OK. Having to go down the hill to check in at the EconoLodge was inconvenient but at least you could park in their lot instead of having to hike up and down that hill to the main strip. Gal at check-in was very nice and accommodating. Accomodations were blah. Very boring and felt more like a dungeon. Glad it was only for one night.

It was very peaceful & the view was fabulous. Overlooked Gatlinburg & all the mountains behind it. Room was large & comfortable. Shower tho, its was a pain to get it to turn on. Had to pull under where the water came out. Totally bad design as I had a hard time pulling it to turn the shower on. Overall, it was great. Did drive down as it is a long walk to the strip.

For the $50 a night we paid, you can't beat the value. We had a cute little balcony with a view of the mountains, and you're close enough to downtown Gatlinburg to walk, but far enough that the hotel is nice and quiet. The shower will boil you alive if someone flushes, the towels were a little thin, and the hand soap left an oily residue, but it was a great stay for the price overall. For people with accessibility needs--the CleanTV remote doesn't turn on the Closed Captioning. You can get to the CC menu, but can't select them because there are no arrow keys or enter on the remote. I imagine you'll have to ask the front desk for a remote that will turn on the captions. Great selection of channels, though! TL;DR: If you want the luxury experience, go somewhere else. If you want a quiet hotel with a great view close to downtown for an amazing price, go to the Chalet Inn!
