The woman at the front desk was nice. But she tried to put us in a mold infested room!! The smell was horrible. My husband found mold on the walls behind the dresser and took pics, as soon as we first stepped inside the room. He went to discuss the issue and ask for a different room, and they actually had the audacity to ask my husband to show them pictures of it... like really, as if they didnt know about the condition of that room. It just sad that thry are willing to put people in danger/unhealty conditions for profit.. disgustingly sad. They had enough decency to put us in a different room though. Be careful!!!

I will never stay here again

The property wasn't clean, internet, TV, and AC all not working properly. The toilet take a longer time to refill after one flush. The toilet was not working properly, the room was not clean and no fresh towels or bed sheets provided. Extremely poor service. I will never stay there again. Look nice outside but the service is very bad.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. For starters, no hot water no towels in the rooms, lots of mosquitoes in the rooms, toilet was leaking water all over the bathroom floor. The photos and the prices on the web site were also not correct. When we got there, they tried to charge us more for the golf carts and when we mention the website prices, the lady said those prices were for September, mind you it’s February. When speaking to management, they were not helpful at all. I paid extra for a deluxe balcony suite, and the door to the balcony did not open. Front desk just agreed that it did not open and offered no solution. None of the ladies there seem to be able to answer any questions in the manager was pushy. Overall, a terrible experience. I paid for three days and we left after one and went to a different hotel. The people leaving 10 out of 10 reviews are clearly liars because this was the worst hotel I’ve been to in Belize and I’ve been coming to Belize every year the last 30 years. my cousin‘s room was also dirty and they had ripped pillowcases and their refrigerator did not work. There was also stains on the sheet and they did not have hot water either. Management never made any attempt to fix any of these situations. The place is nothing like the photos online. I’ve stayed in all type of accommodations in Belize and I’ve never had any issues until now.

This was the nicest hotel I have stayed in in a long time. The place is new and immaculate. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions accurately and promptly. I highly recommend this listing.

I liked the people running the place But was Not impressed to get told No Breakfast when I Booked with BREAKFAST My bed never got made and I did ask for the service Garbage not taken out especially when we don’t flush the toilet paper down Should be emptied DailyToo many mosquitoes had to buy repellent Someone came into my room and unplugged my fridge NASTY! The location is great and got helpful information and lovely friendly shuttle service both ways Free water unlimited Yes would stay again but definitely downstairs my poor knees and know no brekkie .. but I think they used to have breakfast from reading the past reviews Did not like the dogs in the back barking apparently that is when the garbage trucks go by

Had a great stay. My suite was clean, a/c worked and fridge was needed. Staff was kind and helpful, got towels as needed. Location was great as I could simply walk either direction down the beach for a morning run. Restaurants near by were good and I was happy to watch NFL games. The pool was at my door and was quiet, which was great for relaxing with a book. Mosquitoes are deadly however, so pack bug spray!

A fire broke out during my stay two buildings down, which caused the hotel to evacuate all the residents in the middle of the night wall. They made sure it was safe since the exterior of the hotel was all wooden. They were siphoning pool water to take care of the fire. Besides that, The room was OK. One night we were given dirty towels when we asked for new ones. Lots of mosquitoes so be prepared. Even with all the bug spray and cream in the world, I still ended up getting bit multiple times. The hotels location was very close proximity to lots of other dining restaurants, and activities. Overall, it was OK if you’re looking for a hotel that’s not going to break the bank and you plan on spending a lot of time outside of your hotel room.

Property from the outside very nice. Conceige is a sweet heart. Upon walking towards the room, which was on the first floor. There is weird smell ever time you walk into the facility. That same smell is in room also. We had spray Lysol to a least kill the smell. The bathroom was a big issue there was no ventilation. Everytime a shower was taken the moisture stayed in the room. The floor was wet and slippery at times, even in the bedroom part of the room. The moisture was so bad that it even penetrated through our clothing in the room that was in the suitcase because we left them open. The water from the shower you weren't able to change the pressure,so the pressure was strong. The towel rack pulled off a couple of times while I was trying to exit the shower. The people that work was nice. The restaurant food was good. All in all the facility was good. The ventilation was non-existence. Maybe they should have mesh at the windows for the mosquitoes. So, when other guests stay there they can open up the windows to get some ventilation in the room, and not letting so much mosquitoes.

We enjoyed our stay at the tropical palace. A great bar is in the pool area and the rooms are clean. You are basically beach front ( 2 min walk ) and all docks are usable by anyone daily. Restaurant on the property and many other options right around the corner. With smaller shopping ( tiny store for soda a few doors down ) quick trip into town and also walkable. We felt safe. Owners are super nice and personable. Tip: bring conditioner & bodywash - they supply shampoo and a bar soap. The pool is nice as well ! Would stay there again !

I had a wonderful stay at Tropical Palace. It was easy to find and near plenty of restaurants and stores. I felt safe when walking and the staff was nice and helpful. Food and drinks were really good. Bed was comfortable and showers were spacious.

The hotel is under construction and somehow forgot to tell us. The swimming pool is dirty, with chemicals. There were no hot water. Overall 1/10 rating.
