Very friendly staff who were available both in person and by text, which was extremely convenient. The room was clean and cozy, and the location was great—within walking distance of the River Walk. The only downside was a car repeatedly driving up and down the street very late at night, which was a bit loud. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay.

First of all, we are from the surrounding area and were just looking for an easy weekend away to share mother daughter weekend time. We did not want to break the bank but wanted a quaint boutique to stay to feel the comforts of home but also feel spoiled...What a dime this place ended up being...
If we could rate this place a 10 star we would! Absolutely everything and more that all the fabulous ratings in past have given. Not only was Steve and Jordan above and beyond hospitable; we witnessed them being the same to everyone who entered the building there. 100% genuinely wonderful staff including the valet just helping us in and out of our car. From needing assistance with linens or simple requests to even small talk and genuine kindness from everyone. This says that working at The Maverick is a great place so us! We will not only recommend this wonderful location but also will be back! Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing less than fantastic!!!

We arrived 2 hours early, and while they arent "required" to allow us an early check-in.... you would "think" that once ypu see the customers that booked the $500+ per night penthouse suite had arrived, that you'd do your best to get the room ready. Nope... actually, they allowed us to sit downstairs for 2.5 hours, and then the room wasnt even available until 5pm - an hour after it was required to be ready. Oh yea, and the TV doesnt work.... yes.... in the penthouse suite. Decent hotel. Terrible staff.

The Maverick is in a truly perfect location a block from The Riverwalk, minus some sound from outdoor music at night on the weekends if that bothers you. Apartment style, 2 bedroom was clean and updated. Easy in and out with keyless entry. Very courteous staff in lobby. Cool Comedy Club in basement level. Close to so may things in San Antonio. Would stay there again for sure.

Staff is wonderful but the noise has always been here but it’s gotten much much worse. Cars and motorcycles racing all night long. Impossible to sleep through with or without the earplugs they give you.

The room was beautiful and clean. It had everything I could need. The kitchen was well-equipped with many appliances, dishes, utensils, cooking tools, etc. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The staff was amazing. They were so friendly and helpful at all times of the day (even at 6:45 in the morning). I valet-parked my car, and all of the valet workers were great as well.
It is just about a block from access to the riverwalk, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. I felt safe at the hotel. I was on the 9th floor, and yes, you can hear traffic from the street. However, it did not keep me up at night. I actually enjoyed hearing the horse-drawn carriages go down the street.
When I return to San Antonio, I will definitely plan to stay at the Maverick again.
