The hotel is large, beautiful, and well located. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the restaurant service during most of our stay was excellent — we often chose to dine at the hotel instead of going out, which reflects its quality.
However, there are important points to improve. The reception was not welcoming: no upgrade was offered despite Hotels.com Gold status, and there was no assistance with luggage upon arrival. The spa area felt neglected, with no staff present, and the pool bar was unattended. While the pool area is visually appealing, most pools are cold. The dry sauna is very good, but the steam room is outdated, lacks maintenance, and does not reach an adequate temperature.
The biggest issue happened on our final day. Lunch was acceptable but overpriced. At dinner, I ordered lomo vetado and received reheated meat from lunch — dry and tough, completely different from previous days. We returned both dishes, yet were still charged in full. When questioned, no real solution was offered.
This final experience overshadowed our stay. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the hotel.
