This hotel was used to provide refuge for the underprivileged and unhomed which would’ve been something they should have disclosed to us. Our room, though freshly remodeled, was not finished. We had a broken refrigerator and a telephone that did not work when we asked the front desk about the phone. We were given the main number and told to use our cell phones. Anytime we try to approach staff with an issue we were treated rudely. The hotel elevators did not work properly and it was impossible to get 1 because of all the workers stopping the elevators at their floors, causing us to be stranded on floors for a long amount of time. If we chose to take part in the breakfast that was included in the price of our stay some mornings we weren’t able to get anything because of all of the people and things were not replenished or if we chose to sit and eat in the provided area some days we were sitting next to unclean people with no shoes on. Twice workers entered our room .
Bottom line the hotel was a mess
The final straw was when management decided to enter our room without permission, while a do not disturbe sign was hanging , while we were in the city . They called after the fact to tell us the smoke detector was beeping low battery , this was a bold face lie . Later they let it slip that they saw the gold fringe of the decoration my family hung for my birthday . They informed us that decorations were not allowed , this is listed no where in the rules or guest conduct . Stay away
