I was there with my family for our vacation. We loved the hotel because it made us feel like we were in the jungle. However, if you’re thinking about getting a Thai massage at the hotel, I suggest going somewhere else. My mom and I were very disappointed with the service; I think they really need more training. Also most of the employees there are Burmese, not Thai.

No USB plugs in the room to recharge phones. Only a couple of the front staff spoke English, so at times a bit hard to communicate. A good quiet place to relax at. A swimming pool for the kids. Staff very friendly.

Lovely place. The site is spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit. The only downside is that the resort is a four hour plus drive from Bangkok. They say it’s two hours but it’s four hours. Also the food is not great. It’s still a great place.

Beautiful resort, some room for improvement

The resort is really beautiful, the gardens around it amazing and really well kept and the staff is super lovely. There are two beautiful pool areas and the bungalows are amazing, clean, spacious and well equipped. Be aware that the resort is very remote, so if you don't have your own mode of transport, you rely on the tours that the hotel offers and obviously the prices are a little higher with no competition. There isn't much within walking distance to explore. There is some room for improvement in the kitchen- the food is hit and miss and a bit bland compared how well you normally eat from any street stall in Thailand. At the breakfast buffet there is only filter coffee and black tea, it would be nice to have some variety there. There is a sign in the room that they are eco friendly and to please hanf up the towels if they don't need to be changed. The staff however is not trained/aware of this and changes out all towels every day, even if everything is neatly hanging.

Sometimes you go to a place that is good for the soul. This is River Kwai Resotel. It is so relaxing and refreshing to be there. The environment is serene, the food is great and the staff are so warming and accomdating. I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to leave one for this property. It's a 10 out of 10 from me and my family.

Property restaurant is ok, but the service was horrible. Ordered a bottle of white wine- no ice bucket came, ordered 3 cokes and a water which never came until we got them ourself. Had to get back up for glasses, wrong dishes came out after 45min to an hour. Others had came and gone and we didn’t even have our food. One dish came, but with no plates or silverware. It took 10 more minutes to get that, then we had one cold dish. Overall property is nice. The ONLY restaurant available has horrible service.
