Breakfast was nice the only slightly negative thing was glasses and plates were not replenished we had to ask for that to be done despite 2 staff being in the area. We went there with some friends for an afternoon tea which was fantastic, the food was lovely. We stayed overnight and our room was very spacious clean and tidy. The only thing I would say was the spa area was terrible, the changing rooms were not very nice, the changing room doors were broken, the lockers were in a terrible state and the windows around the pool had lots of leaks, moldy and not fitted properly. But otherwise all good.

Solo traveller on business with this being the 4th different hotel in a week. Nice warm welcome and friendly staff. Had an executive double which was spacious and the bed was very comfy. It’s an old hotel with wood panelling in the bar and restaurant which tells you the type of character property this is. Stayed on a £40 half board rate which gave me £25 food & drink allowance for dinner… this is a bit rubbish as the cheapest main was £19 and a pint was £6 so that was the allocation gone. They obviously make money on the starters and dessert's but this is wrong in my opinion, I understand there are supplements with most of these deals but at least give a guests a choice of 2 or 3 courses so they at least have a feeling of value. I had fish and chips and it was Ok, not brilliant which makes me feel like I’ve been taken advantage of. Would I stay here again, probably not but for a business stopover close to my first meeting, it was fine.
